German public broadcaster ARD has been blasted after admitting it “boosted” the sound of booing at the speech given by U.S. President Donald Trump late last week. President Trump gave his speech at Davos on Thursday, again delivering sharp criticism to the mainstream media. He stated: “it wasn’t until I became a politician that I realized how nasty, how mean, how vicious, and how fake the press can be.”
ARD released a clip of the speech on the Twitter account for its popular news programme “Tagesschau” in which distinct boos could be heard directly after the President’s comments. A short time later the programme admitted it had booted the volume of the audio in order to showcase the booing. The show has since been accused of “manipulation”, Stern reports.
Those behind the programme wrote on Twitter, “We did actually make the sound a little louder at the end so that you can hear the booing. Only in this way can we reflect what our correspondents have reported.”
Editor-in-chief of the German tabloid newspaper Bild Julian Reichelt called out those involved saying it was, “hard to imagine that you would have done the same for applause.”
Kai Gniffke, the editor in chief of ARD defended the move saying that it proved the reporting of his journalists.
“By the way, newspapers also make comparisons when they enlarge image sections and may even mark them with a red circle – nobody would come up with the idea of calling this manipulation, but rather journalistic precision,” he said.

I recall CNN being caught inserting cheering sounds and eliminating the booing sounds of their coverage when it aired, after Hillary was booed like hell by firefighters at a 9/11 rally in 2001.
I imagine in the waning days of the Soviet Union on a 1-10 scale the degree of lying was an 87. All the wheels were coming off, and the establishment could do little else.

The funniest part is the boos were directed at the media, by people that agreed with President Trump,(other than those boos from the media folks, who were reacting to the truth with their customary sophistication).
I’ve never seen anything that stated that. When I heard the talk, the boos were so soft they couldn’t have easily come from the audience but, more likely, from the back of the room where the media was. I assumed it was the media booing, or the people working beside the media.
If the EU did have something to do with the dirty dossier, I will not be surprised....

I keep saying they can’t get more dishonest, then they just go lower. Disgusting and needs more publicity. Maybe we need one of their idiotic talks modified with boos and laughter overwhelming the clapping at intervals. With the volume gradually increasing to make it obvious and the conversation having to include what it’s a reaction to.
It’s like the gladiator tv show scene from Star Trek.
