Home Depot Co-Founder Tells Democrats to ‘Use Your Stupid Brains’: ‘You Don’t Have Any Brains!’

Following the passage of the GOP tax reform bill, a number of corporations have announced bonuses and wage increases for its employees, citing the tax cuts as the main reason. One company that handed out one-time bonuses was Home Depot. And the co-founder had some strong words for Democrats who have criticized these bonuses as “crumbs” and dismissed them as PR moves.

Appearing on Fox News Saturday, Bernie Marcus took aim at Democratic leaders, telling host Neil Cavuto that derisive comments about the bonuses will come back to haunt Democrats as it paints them as elitist.

“These are things that the [Nancy] Pelosi and [Chuck] Schumer group don’t have a clue about. It’s why they lost the election, it’s as simple as that,” Marcus said. “[Hillary] Clinton never knew about the real people out there. That’s why they lost the election, and that’s why they’re going to lose the next election for the same reason.”

“Nothing wrong with Home Depot either really, but they seem to cater more to contractors in my exposure.”

That is definitely true out here in Californicator land.

Our forever contractor and general repair guy told us how to handle that issue. He had told his family members, friends and us how handle that:

When you go into the front door and the greeter says welcome to HD!

You look him/her in the eyes and say I’m here to buy a new washer, dryer, refrig combo or whatever. Please take me to the person that will take care of us. If he/she tries to give directions, tell them, “No, I want you to take me to the person to buy whatever and knows what they are talking about.

We have bought a new washer, dryer and refrig/combo at HD’s using this technique. Their 10% off for vets has saved us hundreds of $’s.

Also, we don’t have a Lowes nearby.

Last fall our son/dil’s Kenmore refrig/freezer died after about 18 years. Their Lowe’s and HD’s are basically the same distance, and she could not get a knowledgeable rep at Lowes.

My wife told her to go to HD and what to do.

She drove a few minutes to their HD and used our contractors’s suggestion with the front door guy. He took her back to the section she needed to go to and introduced her to a great salesperson. 15 minutes later, she signed a contract for a new one. It was delivered and set up by pros in two days. The sales rep has called two times to see if it was set up properly and was working properly.. It was.
