Failed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore is raising money to pay legal bills stemming from a lawsuit by a woman who accused him of sexual misconduct.
The Moore campaign sent a fundraising email to supporters Wednesday asking for donations to pay his legal expenses related to a suit filed earlier this month by Leigh Corfman.

I vaguely remember something like that. If that is all it was, then the accusation is overblown, but perhaps there is more to it. I don't know, but it doesn't have any impact on how the establishment did Moore dirty this last go around.
Moore would have won had other Republican officer holders kept their mouths shut.
I don't dispute that, but a guy who burned so many bridges with the Republican Party in Alabama has no business complaining when they actively work to undermine his campaign. If Moore was an abrasive jerk during his political career, then he should sleep in the bed he made.
From what I have been hearing from various Alabamians, there is a lot of rot in the party that needed to be challenged. Moore strikes me as being a true believer "religious nut" who would not bargain or compromise, and as such this makes him anathema to those who want to compromise. I think we need fewer compromisers, and more absolutists.
If Moore was an abrasive jerk during his political career, then he should sleep in the bed he made.
I think "abrasive jerk" is less problematic than "liberal Democrat". I also think people should not urge other people to vote against someone in their own party on the basis of unproven and likely unprovable allegations from a Democrat hit team.
I think the party establishment types did not give a rat's @$$ about the actual accusations, and only saw them as a means to stop someone they didn't want anyways because he wouldn't compromise.
Maybe he assumes he can prove that she’s lying, and wants an excellent lawyer.
I’d like to donate. Not much, because I can’t afford very much, but some.
I read this, and thought, “So true.” At the time, a new woman would be heard from every few days, but since the election, nothing. Not a peep from another “wronged” woman. I’m amazed the sum total spoke up before the election.
Who was the last minute write in? Was it the guy suggested by the Alabama senator?
I don't suspect Moore will be suing anyone. He sure talked a big game out of suing all these women though.
So why isn't Moore suing them?
This is exactly why ObamaCare is still the law of the land.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. A principled man like Roy Moore would have been much more effective in a judicial role where he didn't have to work with a group of legislators to get bills passed.
