President Trump proposed legislation on Thursday that would provides a path to citizenship for as many as 1.8 million young, undocumented immigrants in exchange for an end to decades of family-based migration policies, a massive border wall and a vast crackdown on other illegal immigrants already living in the country.
Describing the plan as “extremely generous” but a take-it-or-leave-it proposal by the president, White House officials said they hoped it will be embraced by conservatives and centrists in Congress as the first step in an even broader effort to fix the nation’s broken immigration system.
But the plan — drafted by Stephen Miller, the president’s hard-line domestic policy adviser and John F. Kelly, the White House chief of staff — was immediately rejected by Democrats, pro-immigration activists and some Republicans, with some describing it as nothing but a heartless attempt to rid the country of immigrants and slam shut the nation’s borders.

This is Trump bargaining. It’s the art of negotiation. He is giving them more than they asked for but in return, he is asking for something he knows they won’t give. That way he doesn’t have to give it and he wins the argument by being able to tell the country “I tried”
Good question. My answer would be open border RINOs, like Graham, Rubio, McCain, Flake, etc etc. They really don't give a flying fig about culture, language and borders - and are happy to vote along with the openly America-hating Democrats. If America is transformed into Mexico it really doesn't concern them.

I suppose some have in mind sending buses to the barrio and telling them to get in. Ridiculously expensive and will be useless without a wall.
So go a head and vote against it, I double dog dare you to vote against DACA and the kids.
If we pass this with a large majority of reps voting for it and a sizable majority of dems opposing it, it will completely destroy the notion that the dems support the immigrant community. The dems will pay a heavy price at the voting both. The reps will crow that they helped the DACA the dems would not.
But that pails in comparison to the damage they will inflect on themselves if DACA actually ends and DACA "kids" start being removed when the dems had a chance to stop it.
Tough choice you got their dems.

It is reality. We need a wall. Keeping 1.8m is a trade for the wall. In reality we will keep millions more because we can't practically deport, but at least once we have a wall we can start deporting if they are picked up.

2 things that need to be done to save the patient called America.
‘Immigration reform’ and the restoration of the rule of law...treason trials and mass hangings on the national mall.
“Immigration reform”:
Build the wall, end chain migration, end anchor baby citizenship, deport 40 plus million illegal aliens and their anchor baby demon spawn and then have a 25-50 year moratorium on ALL immigration.
Only then will America have a chance at survival. Have a chance against the enemy within—the tyrannical anti-American crime syndicate known as the demoncrat party.
Bullcrap. Any “concession can and will be undone by the next Congress. Surreptitious “citizenship” will remain. America WILL die a slow, painful death if this treasonous proposal passes.
If one looks at just the numbers it’s a trade to make legal path for 1.8 million vs. 20 - 25 million or more illegals and legal immigrants not here say over 10 years? It’s something to think about.
