Now that Democrats have fled from their ill-fated Schumer Shutdown, tail between their legs, attention now shifts to the ongoing talks over a possible DACA agreement on immigration. Lawmakers find themselves up against two deadlines: (1) The March cutoff established by the Trump administration after the president announced his cancellation of his predecessor's legally-dubious executive amnesty, and (2) the February 8 time limit just set by Mitch McConnell, after which he'll move to the introduction of bills and amendments on various legislative solutions to the DREAMer situation. As various 'gangs' and working groups on Capitol Hill power through their negotiations, it's important to highlight that during the brief shutdown, two notable Democrats offered what appeared to be very significant concessions on border security. The Senate Minority Leader apparently put Trump's prized border wall on the table as part of a potential deal:

Schumer himself confirmed at least a version of this, again invoking his apparent offer in what amounted to a concession speech on the failed shutdown he engineered: "My recent offer to the president was a generous one. I put his signature campaign issue on the table in exchange for DACA, and still he turned away." The wall is now very much in the mix. Given the fanaticism of his left-wing "resistance" base, I'll admit that I was slightly surprised to hear the most powerful Democrat in Congress openly considering helping the president fulfill his most famous campaign pledge,:

Trump should wait until AFTER the 2018 midterms to secure funding for the wall, as there may be a good chance the Senate could pick up additional seats, so he wouldn’t need to jeopardize our national security by making any kind of immigration deal with the slimy Dems....

Doesn’t address all of Trump’s demands that all his demands need to be in any immigration bill:

2)permanent funding legislation for eVerify
3)end chain migration
4)legislate end of birthright citizenship to kill the anchor baby drain on America

While Senator Chucky “Pagliacci” Schumer steps to any available podium or array of microphone sticks, and proceeds to scold his own navel while doing the funky chicken, he also emits political flatulence. Trump just deflated Chucky’s party balloon, and never laid a hand on Trump’s plan. I am getting tire of seeing the top of Chucky’s head as he drones on about nothing.

The DACA criminals don’t care about anyone but themselves. They are not Americans so they don’t care about anybody but DACAs so they will picket in front of Schumer’s office and demand he trade the wall for their amnesty.
Then Trump merely has to say “Okay we can give amnesty to DACAs that have fulfilled the requirement of A) having a job - boom a big number is eliminated; B) Let’s see which DACAs have fulfilled their obligation to be in school or have a job - boom a big number will be eliminated. Finally Trump will say “ Okay any DACA who has committed a crime will not qualify - BOOM THAT IS THE END OF ALL OF THEM because all of them have been using fake Social Security cards and thereby committing multiple mail
frauds End result NONE nada zippo of these burglars will qualify under Obama’s requirements that were NEVER going to be enforced anyway. And Trump keeps his promise to try to find a way to give DACAs amnesty - WINNING!!

Schumer withdraws offer on Trump’s wall
The figure I have seen—after dessert, the check totals about 18 billion.
Illegals cost us 8-9 times that amount, about 130 billion—and that bill is paid every year.
This is just another reason that the only arguments we hear from the open borders trolls are grounded in pathos.
There are no economic, logical or ethical reasons to go on like we have with only token border security.
As long as the border is insecure the Mexican cartels will keep trafficking in humans. They will keep sending narcotics across our southwestern border and money back to Mexico from jobs taken from Americans.
Schumer is tired of getting BeatDown for “caving” yesterday and trying to show a spine to save what little of his reputation he has as a Leader of the Dims.
Would not surprise me. Will be many ways to trip it up afterwards with court battles and environmental challenges.

Schumer made the wall offer so he could go on the Senate floor and say Trump turned down the wall, i.e., he is being unreasonable.
What Schumer failed to mention is that he only offered $1.6 billion in funding when he knows the figure is $18 billion.
