Just heard Sen Van Holland talk about this on PBS. The RAT plan is to get the bill out of the Senate and use town halls to force a vote in the House.

Too funny - Trump has already emphasized what the options are - he has his demands and they have theirs - only way to get something like Durbin/Graham this passed is for a veto-proof vote....ain’t gonna happen because the repubs want to be reelected as badly as dems do.

The E-verify system has been operational for several years, but I think it's mostly optional. Trump couldn't require it for everyone without some new laws, AFAIK.

The man is doing a tremendous job for all Americans, but it is curious as to why he seems to overlook a few fixes that are easily doable, such as this one.
