Marianne Williamson walked to the middle of the stage, paused for a second, then she asked all the black people to stand.
The New York Times best-selling author, internationally known spiritual teacher and native Houstonian was in town recently for her "Love America Tour" at Unity of Houston. She urged the 200 of us from our seats. She then instructed a white person to hold the hand of a black person standing.
A white woman and a teenage girl who looked to be mother and daughter in the row behind me took my hand and arm.
Williamson then told the white people to repeat after her. She began with, "I apologize ... ."

She DOES NOT speak for me, a Jewish guy, nor my family and friends who hired black men and women for jobs when others didn’t.
Let Williamson bear the burden of “guilt” for those liberals who only live for “guilt trips”. My “guilt train” left the station when the Nazis wiped out our European family in the 1940’s, and when blacks burned down Jewish businesses in Baltimore while the Italian mayor Dalessandro, Nancy Pelosi’s brother, did nothing to stop them.
My guilt also stopped when black punks knifed to death rabbis and rabbinical students on the streets of New York, and when the Rev. Al Sharpton railed against Koreans, Jews, and anyone else who wouldn’t give him a free buffet.
The same for those who backed anti-Semite and communist dupe Rev. Jesse Jackson (forget Hymietown, that was kindergarten stuff), who kept on as his top aide Jack O’Dell, a secret member of the Communist Party USA, and possibly KGB asset. O’Dell was Jackson’s link to PLO front groups in the US (Palestine Human Rights Campaign, ADC, etc) and to Syria, as well as Moscow and Cuba.
No more guilt because the old NAACP, which was a genuine joint civil rights groups of whites and blacks, Jews and Christians, was destroyed by the Marxists while Jesse stood around and did nothing.
“Homie Schwartz ain’t playing the guilt game no more”.
“this is a loser issue as far as voters go, however it’s good to pay attention to these wackos because they’re the ones teaching and pushing this kind of thing in the media”
Consider the following “loser” issues from the past:
1) abortion on demand and late term abortion
2) gay marriage
3) transexuals and gays openly in the military
4) self defined gender and restroom seleciton
5) abortions for minors without parental consent
6) eliminating school prayer and the pledge of allegiance from schools
7) open borders
8) affirmative action and racial quotas
9) civil asset forfeiture
10) government using eminent domain to seize property for private use
11) secret courts approving wiretaps and surveillance of American citizens
12) government bailouts of Wall Street banks and multinational corporations
13) Supreme Court justices citing foreign laws in opinions
14) government takeover of the healthcare system
My folks came over on their boats from Ireland after the fact.
I refuse to apologize.
A lot of white folks are also descendants of Union soldiers and northern abolitionists.
I suppose they should be thanked?

None of my ancestors owned slaves. I never owned slaves of any color.
There are blacks in this country whose ancestors owned slaves. Get them to perpetually apologize forever.

Were whites instructed to apologize for progress? Because without whites, Africa would be an even bigger s-hole.
It’s a common thing in New Age, the Heavy Head Trip. All the so-called gurus push it, from the Marianne Williamson’s appearing on Orca, to the “in your face” of Werner Erhard. The intent is to break people down by bombarding them with condescending crap (or in the case of Erhard, screaming into people’s faces that their lives don’t bleeping work). And it’s amazing how these New Age hucksters claim to know how your life doesn’t work, when they just met you five minutes ago.
The scary thing was that I saw it work it’s way into corporate management back in the eighties.
Apologize for a minority of white, and even some blacks, who owned slaves? No way, never gonna happen. Perhaps they ought to locate the ancestors of the black folks in Africa that captured them and sold them into slavery. Without them there would have been no blacks for whites to purchase.
Anybody stupid enough to pay money see this anti-Christian poseur deserves what they get. The blacks got reminded that they will always be viewed as natural victims and the whites got blamed for past events over which they have no control.
One of Werner Erhard quotes is, “Ride the horse in the direction that it’s going” - which is a stupid rewrite of ‘Go with the flow’... How these people ever captured the minds of even weak stupid liberals is amazing...
I’ll apologize for something my ancestors *might* have done if Miz Williamson apologizes for the things her neighbors, friends, etc., most certainly have done..
