Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our Military and Safety at the Border. The Dems just want illegal immigrants to pour into our nation unchecked. If stalemate continues, Republicans should go to 51% (Nuclear Option) and vote on real, long term budget, no C.R.s!

I see the hideous art in the picture.
In round 1, the Tax Bill, the democrats wouldn’t play. Our response? Tax the democrat states by limiting deductions from high state far-left taxes. I loved it.
In round 2, funding the federal government, the democrats still won’t play. I love the idea of changing the rules and passing something without them - and make it far more conservative and permanent than anyone expected from this bill!
Self correction:
The Grand Total Vote would be 51 to 48, if all votes remained unchanged.
I mistakenly forgot to deduct one for the absent McShame.
Meanwhile, I hope McConnell does impose the Nuclear Option asap.
Moreover, I wish that a full fiscal year budget will one day soon be passed to adequately rebuild our depleted military and finance critically needed infrastructure projects—chiefly, the prompt construction of The Wall!!!
These short-term CRs are ridiculous and reflect a dereliction of duty among our government to responsibly meet our country’s priorities.
thanks SMGFan.

I don't believe that ClintonCare was ever up for a vote in either chamber of Congress, despite the fact that the Dems then controlled both houses.
Do you have any examples? Avoiding debate on Garland's nomination was not a filibuster, it was a function of being the majority party.
Wouldn’t the 50-48 vote have carried?
A motion passes if it gets a majority of those present and voting.
The filibuster was at the very end, as Danforth and some other RINOs were trying to ‘cut a deal’ with the Dems. Dole, thankfully, was still able to get 41 of the 44 Republicans on board to keep it from being voted on. I think they filibustered by talking it to death, since they had the votes to block it. I remember the end-game vividly, it was damn close.
I think simple majority would carry it if they voted on the nuclear option. I think Rand Paul will approve that, even if he might vote against a CR.
As early as possible after the government is re-opened they need to PUSH a budget through the House and then the Senate. Living month to month on CRs is a huge disservice to the American people and playing into the hands of the obstructionist DemoRats.
It is time for Mc Cain to resign and let someone get appointed who will report for work.
IMHO Past time!
The Democrats Do Not understand this is about the budget, NOT a conference on immigration. The Democrats have fully committed to work for non-citizens and leave American citizens and Military behind. GREAT SHAME ON #DEMOCRATS!!!
