Take advantage of the SchumerShutdown

Posted on 01/20/2018 12:27:48 PM PST by G-Bear

Just had an idea this morning of how we can take advantage of the SchumerShutdown.

Since the President can decide which government employees are "critical" and which are not, The Donald could declare that all those pesky Federal judges are not critical, but Immigration employees ARE critical.

And since the whole problem seems to be the so-called "Dreamers", this would be a good time for the President to instruct ICE to start rounding up and deporting all the Dreamers, and any other illegals they find. With no left-wing federal judges to issue any restraining orders, ICE can get something done.

The Dems/liberals/commies can either let their future voters be removed from the country, or they can give in and vote for the CR. Either way, Trump gets more WINNING!

(P.S., I wouldn't let them get away with any more stupid CR's, make all of them vote for an actual budget!)

Trump doesn’t hate the dreamers. it’s the Democrats who hate America that are the problem.

even better - DJY can easily cut costs 10-15% ; that gets us a Federal Gov’t in cash flow surplus.

We don’t need no stinkin’ budget when Sheriff Donald is in town

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but those pesky fed judges are not employees. I believe they are appointees. Now those that staff the fed courts are likely employees, and not having those rascals around might impede the leftist judges operations. But good lefty employees will volunteer their time just to obstruct Trump, then wind up being paid overtime when it’s all over.

IMO, not a good idea.

Haha! But before they’re deported, I hear there’s no trash pick-up in our national parks. Surely they would be glad to help with that, since I hear all of them are absolute angels who love America.

Does the government shutdown necessarily mean that congress is in recess, too? If so, President Trump an use it as an opportunity to make a bunch of recess appointments.

Some Democrat said that, as I remember.

I would be surprised if President Trump does not have a plan for the shutdown.

He is always three steps ahead of the opposition.

Indeed it is a golden opportunity to point out that this sort of thing is EXACTLY the problem with illegal immigration. No matter what “side” people come down on, this would not be happening if we didn’t have a bunch of illegals here in the first place - so really, they are making the stop illegals point by doing this stunt. Because of this newly fashioned “interest group”, which functions almost like a lobby, many citizens are inconvenienced or hurt in some way and all this time and effort is going into “solving” a problem that should not exist - a problem created by the lack of good governance in the first place.

The President has no say over the Judicial system or thier employees. He can only declare those employees under the Executive Branch as essential or not. Same with congress.

Shutdown the EPA, and the corrupt consumer protection agency. Make a list and order them to transfer what ever reserved funds they have to the treasury to be used by the military

He can’t declare the Federal Judges non-essential, but he could declare all of their staffs (clerks, secretaries, janitors, etc.) non-essential. The black robed ones would have to make their own coffee, sweep out their own offices, etc.

Electricity for Federal courts is not essential. The founders wrote The Constitution by candlelight, with quill pens, in non air conditioned buildings.

Trump can't do anything to the judicial branch.

He only has a say over executive branch employees.
