Top Democrat (Schmucky) Faults Trump As Congress Resumes Work To End Shutdown

The federal government is in the midst of a partial shutdown, and it appears it will be that way for some time.

Members of the House and Senate reconvened at the Capitol Saturday to try to find a way to resolve the impasse. There was hope lawmakers would quickly take up a patchwork resolution that is all of one week shorter than the measure that failed late Friday night in the Senate.

But it's not clear what path there is to a compromise, as Republican leaders made clear they will not negotiate on immigration while the government is shut down.

As it was in the days leading up to the shutdown, the gears of a political blame game kept rolling Saturday morning. President Trump was tweeting at dawn, blaming Democrats for the lapse in government funding as the Senate failed to advance a four-week extension overnight.

Trump accused Democrats of choosing "unchecked illegal immigration" over the military, and Democrats say he has not kept his word to find a deal to protect immigrants who came to the country illegally as children.

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump - Democrats are holding our Military hostage over their desire to have unchecked illegal immigration. Can’t let that happen! 8:27 AM - Jan 20, 2018 42,529 42,529 Replies 27,491 27,491 Retweets 99,316 99,316 likes

The “news” outlets should just state the simple fact whether or not there is a shutdown in place—leave the name-calling and arm-waving in the swamp where it belongs.

Mulvaney’s Press Briefing.

Said #SchumerShutdown mischaracterized what he and Pres. talked about.

Said he was in the meeting, Schumer is saying he offered Trump all the money for the wall.

Wrong only 1.3 billion not the 18 Pres. wants.

Chuckie tried to pull a fast one by telling Trump that in the previous budget that’s all he asked for.

DUH, Earth to Chuckie have you been listening at ALL to our Pres.?

Thank you keyboarding that! I thought some of the enemedia were stumped about how to actually attack Trump on this even though they tried. I was laughing out loud at them.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

There is one shutdown question mark that goes against the swamp RINOs running the Senate imo. Please consider the following.

Although there are exceptions to the Constitution’s Article V equal suffrage clause for the Senate, a 2/3 supermajority Senate vote needed to override a presidential veto (1.7.2) for example, the 60 supermajority Senate vote “required” to pass the federal funding bill seems to deny equal Senate suffrage for the states.

Article V: The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate [emphasis added].

So are Senate swamp RINOs possibly hiding behind an unconstitutional Senate voting procedure to take a political shot at Pres. Trump?

Corrections, insights welcome.

Patriots now need to be making sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting, state sovereignty-respecting patriot candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day.

And until the states wake up and repeal the 17th Amendment, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of Alabama's special Senate election, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud and associated MSM scare tactics.

You’d lose the immediate identification, and, more importantly, immediate recognition of the CONTRAST.

If you know memes where you can put a "Scumbag Steve" hat on someone; do the following --

Get a pic of Schumer or Pelosi next to President Trump, facing the photographer.

Photoshop a red "Make America Great Again" hat onto President Trump, and a blue "Make America A Shithole" hat onto the Dem.

Distribute.

That would be risky. Public currently in our favor, might not like rounding up a bunch of “dreamers”. Round up a bunch of illegals dealing drugs or ms-13 types. That’s a HUGE winner!
