Gov. Jerry Brown D-Calif. has once again denied parole for Leslie Van Houten, the youngest follower of late murderous cult leader Charles Manson who blamed herself at her parole hearing Friday for letting him control her life.
Brown said in his decision that Van Houten, 68, still laid too much of the blame on Manson, who died two months ago at 83.
Brown acknowledged that Van Houten's youth at the time of the crime, her more than four decades as a model prisoner and her abuse at the hands of Manson make it worth considering her release. While in prison, Van Houten has received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and was an “exceptional” tutor, Brown wrote.
"However," he wrote in his decision "these factors are outweighed by negative factors that demonstrate she remains unsuitable for parole."
Van Houten is serving life for the murders of wealthy grocer Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary, when Vshe was 19. They were stabbed a day after other Manson followers killed pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four other people in Los Angeles. Van Houten was not with the group during murder of Tate, director Roman Polanski’s wife and four others.

Yes he got this one right. I don’t care where Leslie lays the blame; she was part of the murders.
She must NEVER be set free. They can read a Bible and ask for forgiveness. But they forfeited their right to walk among the public while on Earth.

Lesley van Houten killed the LoBiancas — not Sharon Tate and friends; however, that is bad enough and her crime received a shout out from Bill Ayer’s wife, Bernadine Dhorn.
the only reason he denied parole is that those killed were part of his social circle of friends. if the people killed were not a part of this aleet circle she would of gotten parole 20 years ago...I am not saying she should be released just commenting on the fact that who gets parole has a lot to do with who the victim is if you are a democrat politician.

I have read some Livy a roman historian. Patrician families let him read speeches and tales of their generals and senators n their families. Many Roman generals had chroniclers of their speeches.
They are encouraging their soldiers to give their lives for the gods and the glory of Rome. So the practices of brainwashing has been round along time and what’e more evident then getting people fight to their death so that the rich and wealthy can have an empire and live in luxury.
