Dynastic politics in a democratic republic is generally a bad sign, regardless of party affiliation.
There should be a law that elected positions cannot be held by family like royalty. No more Kennedy’s, Bush’s, Clinton’s, etc.
Don’t be so sure that Detroit will just fall in line. They just re-elected a White guy as mayor who beat Coleman Young’s son 80/20 AND the Blacks who stayed home (50k) actually won Michigan for Trump.
