U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has detained or deported several foreigners across the country who are also prominent immigration activists, prompting accusations from advocates that the Trump administration is improperly targeting political opponents.
Detention Watch Network, a nonprofit that tracks immigration enforcement, said this week that several activists have been targeted recently, including Maru Mora Villalpando in Washington state, Eliseo Jurado in Colorado, and New York immigrant leaders Jean Montrevil and Ravi Ragbir.
Theyre trying to intimidate people, said Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), the ranking Democrat of the House Judiciary Committee. These are well-known activists whove been here for decades, and theyre saying to them: Dont raise your head.

They need to go back to the countries of their birth and make them better places.
They are destroying themselves. Who are we to stand in the way of Socialist self-immolation? Except to offer them a gallon of hi-test and a Bic lighter to play with...
Yes.
Mexico did far more than any other country to interfere in our election.
I am a U.S. Passport bearer living in Mexico. I have been WARNED by the Mexican authorities NEVER to be involved in public expressions of my political ideals. Personally I have known US citizens who were caught in public protests and were immediately escorted and deported at the border... This is the truth.
Good idea...Just proves how much smarter you young Marines are than us ancient Marines...
Yeah, what’s improper about targeting the rabble rousers?
Get `em outta here!
Nadler appears to be admitting to being an accessory to multiple felonies here.

If they are illegal aliens agitating then they are “enemy combatants” and should be sent to GITMO for a few years.
The priority should be to make being in the USA illegally a felony. Deport them immediately, and they are prohibited from entering the USA forever. Being caught here illegally a second time should be a capital crime with the execution to be carried out within 24 hours.
“In other words, they are loud mouthed pains in the ass.”
And I’m sure Obama actually paid them to agitate the “community”.
Good.
At least one activist from Haiti has already been deported.
Many more to go.
I’m guessing we will see less of them on TV and at protest.
Let them slink back into the shadows.
The Democrats, not just these illegals, but even elected officials, are openly engaging in sedition.
Sedition is a real crime. So is treason. In fact, treason can be a capital crime.
I don’t give a crap if they’re activists or not. They are here illegally, and they raised their heads and screamed for rights they don’t have and should NEVER have, then too bad that they got rounded up. Maybe the next immigration rally, they’ll just swoop in and say “Thank you for the easy targets” and take everyone in that’s protesting until they prove they are here legally.
Yeah, try agitating in Mexico and see what happens.
Good!!!
These aholes should be the FIRST ones booted out.
Que the Ha Ha Guy!
HaHaHa
Good
Good. Seize their ill-gotten assets so as to pay for their retention and deportation . Get OUT!
Screw them. Foreigners do not have the right to petition OUR government in behalf of ILLEGAL ALIENS.
People who are here ILLEGALLY need to depart, quickly. They can deport themselves, immediately, or ICE will deport them. It doesn’t matter if they are “political opponents” or whatever, they are ILLEGAL ALIENS.
If you are here illegally, being visible and here illegally just makes you that much easier to catch and deport, claiming political prisoner status when you aren’t even a citizen and are simply sent home is nonsense
The irs always goes after the tax protestors first.
