Whatever you think about Donald Trump, his main achievement has been to utterly discombobulate his enemies, especially the mainstream media in America.
If sometimes we think that the BBC dresses a little too far to the Left, try watching the Washington press pack in full flow. They believe it is their constitutional duty to destroy the democratically elected President by any means possible.
He's been accused of racism, sexism and colluding with the Russians to steal the presidential election, which bizarrely they also claim he never wanted to win in the first place. Go figure.
Like our own die-hard Remainers, any lie will do for the Never Trumpers. Their latest line of attack is to claim he is mentally ill, in the early stages of Alzheimer's, and therefore unfit for office.
If anyone is displaying signs of advanced mental illness, it's the mudslingers themselves, in their increasingly deranged desperation to find something, anything, which will bring down the President.
This got me wondering how the Great Man Churchill would have fared had he been subjected to the same kind of scrutiny and hostility that Trump is today.
If Churchill's personal physician had been forced to reveal the Prime Minister's medical results, food, drink and drugs consumption, Winston wouldn't only have been declared unfit for office, he'd probably have been sectioned.

I am astonished that it took this long and no one has mentioned the SECRET health issues of Franklin Roosevelt.
The “media” of that time refrained from photographing him seated in his wheel chair....that’s OK. His obvious deteriation as the war pgrogressed was not a subject of media attention.

I agree. In photographs of him sitting, the braces were obvious. His physical appearance deteriorated noticeably. His doctors didn’t tell him the full extent of his cardiovascular disease, etc. He was a walking stroke and it got him.
Like JFK, he was the medias darling.
Trump should figure out a way to turn all this talk about mental incompetence into a joke against his opponents.

There will always be those. I remember right after 9/11 I was listing to a radio show where the guest said we should pay Bin Laden reparations for the centuries of aggression against Islam.
