Nearly a year after President Donald Trumps inauguration, a Harvard University professor says 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton could still become commander in chief.
Lawrence Lessig, the Roy L. Furman professor of law and leadership at Harvard Law School, penned an essay for Medium in October outlining a series of hypothetical scenarios that could take place should the ongoing probe find that the Trump campaign actually conspired with Russia to influence the results of the election.
If Trump did conspire with Russia, the president should resign, or, if he doesnt, he should be impeached, Lessig wrote in his essay. Vice President Mike Pence would also have to either resign or get impeached, which would make House Speaker Paul Ryan the president of the United States, Lessig wrote at the time.

Someone should give Lessig the same cognitive test Trump took. See how he does.
Whoever/whatever funds the Roy L. Furman professorship of law needs to stop and ask for a refund. The current holder of the chair self-identifies as an imbecile.
How many divisions does the professor have?
First: this law professor should step away from the crack pipe.
Second: Can you imagine the orgasms that the DUmpster Kids are having in reaction to this piece? It almost makes me want to don my hazmat suit and check in there. In fact,I just might do that.
When The Beast finally gives up the ghost I hope her followers have the courage and conviction to do as those of Marshall Applewhite did.
Not exactly. His choice would then need a majority vote in both houses of Congress.
Rush just mentioned this... me thinks he is learkin.
If collaboration is proved with fake news, hillary will not be alive to serve as President.
A change in the rules will induce a change in the rules
If there is no law.... well, there is no law
The author and some of the newsweek staff believe this fairy tale. Some of them know it’s delusional but they want to sell their cr@ppy mag to their delusional readers.
Newsweek will still be investigating Russian collusion in Trump’s first election, after he’s been inaugurated to his second term. Losers.
I think they're very much in touch with reality. The problem is, they simply can't abide it, so are bending it into a pretzel.
Obama set this thing up so he could stay on as President not make Hillary President
Harvard Law School has definitely lowered the bar on who they allow to become professors!
Next, does this evidence implicate Pence? If not, no need for him to resign.
But say it did, and Pence went down, too.
Then Paul Ryan becomes President. The original article said that he should do the “honorable thing”, and appoint HRC as VP, then resign so she could take her rightful place in history (OK, I made that last up).
But I see two problems with this. Actually three.
First, no one is saying Ryan was involved, so why is it “honorable” for him to resign and overturn the will of the American people?
Second, there is plenty of evidence that HRC WAS involved with the Russians, to a far greater extent than anything that has come out about Trump. What then qualifies her to be President?
Third, even if it was the honorable thing to do to appoint Hillary as President, why does this idiot think Ryan is an honorable man?
Hey professor read the constitution.
The election stock market actually has a bet on the President being impeached. We know how wrong they were about Nov 2016.
