Oprah running for president may sound like a good idea to some, but Americans aren’t buying it.
A new Morning Consult/Politico poll found that just 24 percent of the nearly 2,000 registered voters surveyed actually want her to compete for the White House in 2020.
Fifty-nine percent think she shouldn’t run — and 17 percent said they weren’t sure or had no opinion on the matter.
“If you were watching cable news the Monday after the Golden Globes, you would have thought the numbers would say 99 percent of Americans want her to run,” explained Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television & Popular Culture at Syracuse University.

How many of that 24% in favour of her running were Freepers following the Br’er Rabbit strategy?
