WORCESTER - A Portland, Maine, police officer was arrested Saturday during a concert at the Palladium on Main Street.
Zahra Munye Abu, 24, faces misdemeanor charges after acting unruly and refusing to leave when asked by security, according to Worcester police. The charges include assault and battery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and trespassing. She was released on personal recognizance at 1 a.m. Sunday.
Officer Abu has been a Portland police officer for two years, gaining attention as Maines first Somali police officer, according to a 2016 story in the Portland Press Herald. She was born in a Kenyan refugee camp and moved to Portland with her family when she was 2, the paper reported.
Officer Abu is expected to be arraigned in Central District Court sometime this week.
She was in Worcester to see rapper Ja Rule and R&B singer Ashanti.
Officer Abu was placed on administrative leave by the Portland Police Department pending an internal review, according to a statement from Police Chief Michael Sauschuck. Chief Sauschuck, terming the situation a personnel matter, said he would not be releasing further statements.

Cultural enrichment!
Good thing she wasn’t armed or someone may have been shot.
Why are we making Somalis police officers?
Because the people(other than our President)running this country are idiots.
“Diversity is our strength.”
Sworn in as an officer in a hijab picture in linked article.
You failed to assimilate properly and timely and you can not maintain minimum standards of human behavior.
BACK TO YOUR SH!THOLE.
Next, please.
They sey themselves apart from Americans.
She wears the Muslim thingy on her fool head.
I don’t know. A social worker once told me that local large hospitals hire Somalis and train them as CNAs so they will have in house translators.
Translation is a big business, Pretend not to speak English, go to hospital, have your uncle Mo translate for you, for big bucks, 60 plus an hour for four hour blocks. Sometimes twice a day.
Costly to health care. And it is the law.
Somalia - the land of inbreeding and low IQ

She is the youngest of 9 children & doesn’t wear her hijab while patrolling. Whatever the glowing write-up in the above article she surely showed poor judgement at the concert.
“A 24-year-old Portland police officer has been charged with five misdemeanors, including assault and battery, after being arrested Saturday night at a concert venue in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Worcester police said Zahra Munye Abu, of Portland, is also facing charges of trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
Abu caused a disturbance while attending a Ja Rule and Ashanti concert at the Palladium Nightclub on Main Street, said Worcester police Sgt. Kerry F. Hazelhurst.
The nightclub was hosting several live musical acts, Hazelhurst said in an email. She was (given) several opportunities to leave and refused. Eventually she was placed under arrest.”

So was she drunk or high, or both. Was she partying too hard or was she there protesting in the name of a false prophet?

She’s gaining more attention now. Notice they buried whatever the reason for her acting out was.
Blasphamy!!! Swords knives and bombs mix with Muslims!
Ja Rule concert? What it god’s name did she do to get arrested?
They come to the great melting pot of America then proceed to set themselves apart.
And anyone who disagrees is “racist.”
Nice how they assimilate, isnt it?
Most people now understand that “racist” simply means, “I disagree.”
I imagine there was once a time when people could say, “I disagree with your (point x) because (reasoning and evidence y).” However, it’s probably just a fantasy.
