False police reports like this should be considered a hate crime.
Hoaxsters should be subject to the same penalties and as would apply to someone who actually did the deed.

There was a “national outcry” including from PM Trudeau. Still waiting for the “national outcry” over the bad girl’s criminal behavior, over the government rushing to premature conclusions, over the press falling for the hoax and, most of all, over the gullible people who so wanted it to be believe it to be true.

Do we have a list of all the hoax “hate crimes”? If so, I imagine it’s even longer than the list of reason why Hillary lost (none of which were her fault and none of which were anything Trump did right).
How many of these hoaxes have there been just by Muslims? Of course the pernicious fact is that the accusation itself gets all the attention; nobody remembers the retraction or the debunking. In other words, these scum got exactly what they wanted with little to no repercussion to them.

I was very suspicious of this story when I read it on the news, last night. It was being reported, internationally, as a true and dreadful incident. Now MeltingPot has posted up this follow up. A classic fake hate crime.
