If we go to the text of MLK’s missives (borrowed without attribution or not, and to be fair I haven’t seen many preachers deliver sermons with footnotes) that surely should please everybody? But who knows. Had MLK lived and kept up his lefty kick, the global warming thing might have been right up his alley.

The question for all is: how do we get to something better? He didn’t walk the walk but he still talked the talk. And perhaps what good that did was still worth it. How many people today talk about King Solomon’s womanizing, to the point of pagan sacrifice? Yet he gave his people wisdom with no equal.

MLK’s vision won’t be achieved as long as organizations like the NAACP exist. They have a vested interest in its continuous pursuit.

One thing the liberals could do for starters is clean up that s-hole of a city called Detroit.
Because of MLK’s sojourns with socialism, he would have had political enemies who might have wanted to smear him in other ways too. The modern thing is to hear from the women, but they are surely gone now.
To do this would mean a gospel resurgence. No self respecting secular left would do that.
Dr. King followed the leanings of George Washington Carver - be model citizens, be faithful Christians, have Godly families, participate and be part of the system. Make those who down you recognize your worth in society by your good and moral character full of integrity and so win your rightful place in society through patriotism, hard work, and endurance in the race of life before almighty God.
The NAACP follows the lead of W.E.B. Dubois - an impatient man who also believed in fighting unrighteousness, but became disillusioned with the Judeo- Christian ethic and lost his faith in Almighty God. Like Sarah, he chose his own solution and turned to Marxism. So much so that when his organization the NAACP failed to foment the violent overthrow of the U.S. government he left for Zimbabwe to live with the enlightened Mugabe.
Two influential men, both flawed human beings as are we all before Creator God. One must decide to choose God through Jesus Christ His Son and our Savior or not. No middle ground. Once your choice is made, your actions will show all who your father is. May God bless and keep you all on this day when we celebrate the truth that we are all created equal in the eyes of God, in His image, and with His purpose for each of us.
It is only in this spirit of Worship and Truth that we will see each other as God the Father sees us, and see why God the Son came to redeem us, and why we need God the Holy Spirit to guide us through each day. Amen
