Why did the nurse tell you not to get a flu shot?
There was a wrong guess on which form of the flu would be most prevalent.
Getting this information out in a timely manner is a crap shoot.
Emphasis on crap.
Yes, that is correct. 10% effective was the story I read recently.
This flu strain is different than the vaccine.
Well, at least flu thins the herd.
As long as I do daily cardio (hard!), I never get the flu.
If I stop, I get the current variety.
Conclusion: Work out daily with solid cardio...unless you want to leave this world.
Respectfully, my good FRiend, I do not agree.
If the shot were 10% effective, might that mean that it could, at the least, reduce infectivity some, reduce the severity some, reduce the duration of infection, reduce the mortality and infection-related-effects some?
Worst case, if you get the shot, you just might survive a miserable experience.
Get the shot, my good FRiend.
.
I know a nurse at the local VA and she won’t take the flu shot. The last time I almost got a flu shot was in the 80s when someone brilliant decided that they would give soldiers a double dose of the Swine flu shot .... as they were passing out and taken to the hospital, I just signed my card and left.
I didn’t get one either. But when it came on — I took the Echinacea and extra Vitamin C. I got it on a Friday and was pretty much over it by the following Wednesday.
Still have some coughing spells, though.
The original estimate was 15% now it’s changed to 10%, CDC got this years vaccine totally wrong.
There is a TAMIFLU warning, it has killed 1 child.
Depending on your health and age, NEVER take more than the single dose vaccine, the 1 for seniors and health compromised is a TRIPPLE dose..which is DUMB as they are already health compromised, and reactions are higher to the Triple or Double dose Flu vaccine.
