As a reporter for "Anderson Cooper 360," I live my life on a deadline. Plane to catch. Story to write. Live report to deliver. It's always exciting, but also can be so stressful!
But in the scheme of things, my job as a reporter for CNN is a lot less stressful than, say, the job of President. These days, the leader of the free world has a lot to worry about.
North Korea.
Middle East Peace.
Terrorism.
The Russia Investigation.
I can't imagine the stress of that job! Luckily, after a long and stressful day I have my golden retriever, Gatsby, to come home to. He always greets me with tail wags and wet kisses. Then he curls up at my feet with his head resting on my toes. If I didn't need both hands to type this article, I would surely have one of them on him. Petting him from head to toe is the best stress reliever!
Which is why that I think you, Mr. President, would be wise to get a dog and start 2018 off on the right foot (or paw, if you will).
You would benefit from owning a dog in so many ways. It's scientifically proven!
Studies show that playing with or petting an animal can increase levels of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decrease production of the stress hormone cortisol. Don't you want more of those feel-good chemicals in your brain?
All those nights you reportedly spend alone, pacing around the White House in that bathrobe would be in the past. A loyal companion would be at your side, and with just a few pats on the head your stress from the day would slip away.

That's true! "Pet" can be both a noun AND a verb!
Owning a pet and actually living in the White House is too different things. I’m sure GW penned up his hunting hounds and they didn’t enter the house.

Maybe he likes cats. But, really, if you don’t move into the WH with your existing pet(s), then the pet is just a publicity stunt. If your presidency isn’t just the end of an election (as the last four have been) and you need to work on MAGA, then you don’t need publicity pets.
He has CNN, ABC, and NBC, and they’re acting like disobedient lap dogs at his feet.
Don’t they count?
We have to take a pooper scooper after them, and clean up the stink and yellow puddles. This should count.
W owned several dogs: Spotty, a Brittany Spaniel, and Barney and Miz Beazley, both Scottish terriers. W and Laura also owned a black cat, India. All of them lived in the White House.
Per CNN - Dogs & Pets OK - but don’t have kids or a traditional family.
People don’t have pets, pets have people.
CNN was Saddam Hussein’s pet dog.
Didn’t the clintons have their dog put down?
I think they meant George Washington...not George W. Bush. Washington never lived in the White House.

No, that was vince foster
He has a pet, it is a carrier pigeon he says secret messages to the Russian Embassy with.
If Trump had a pet: Why doesn’t Trump spend enough time with his pet? Animal cruelty!
George Washington may have owned fox hounds, he liked that kind of hunting. But first and foremost Washington was a horse lover, an accomplished horse breeder, trainer, and rider. He was considered the greatest horseman if his time.
Lara Trump is working on it! I’m sure she would like nothing better (as would a lot of people ;).
He’s from Manhattan. People in that hive generally shouldn’t keep animals. It’s unfair to the animals.
IIRC, He also killed his mother’s favorite colt horsing around with the boys. That was the “real” lie story.
Ask cnn how much comrade obama’s animals cost the taxpayers.
