Pope Francis has defined hostility and rejection of refugees and migrants as sin, encouraging people to overcome their fully comprehensible fears that these new arrivals might disturb the established order of local communities.
At his invitation, several thousand migrants, refugees and immigrants from 49 countries joined Francis at Mass in St. Peters Basilica on Sunday, a day the Catholic Church dedicated to the issues and contributions of those who leave homelands in hope of a better life.

Suicide is a sin, I think this pope skipped the day it was covered in seminary.
Time for Pope Frank to set up shop in a slum in Haiti. Oh wait...I’ll bet HAITI doesn’t have unrestricted immigration, although I also doubt people are flooding into the country.
Maybe he could set up shop in Mexico - but Mexico is pretty tough on “undocumented immigrants”. And Mexico treats darker skinned Mexicans with plenty of Indian blood like dog poop too. But then, from Mexico City, Pope Frank could speak truth to Mexican officials in power, couldn’t he!
With apologies to Donald O'Connor and Chill Wills.
Starting to think that's what this current Pope is.
Papal fallibility has never been so aptly illustrated than by this islami-communist stooge.
Mom’s a devout Catholic from Hungary, she knows communism and that’s what she says Francis is. By the way Mule was as close as I could get, albeit inaccurately to the animal I meant.
Let them live in Vatican city. And not only the cute teen boys either.
I apologize to all mules for the analogy.
As with everything with this "pope" .... do as he says, not as he does!
Guess where I didn’t go again today Your “Holiness”?.....
I am not a Catholic. However, I have many Catholic friends. And I have always held the various Popes in due respect. But after seeing and hearing this current one for several years, I am forced to agree with Vlad Putin; This Pope is NOT a man of God.”
The Pope doesn't like that good people worked to create nice cultures. He thinks our countries should become hellholes too. - - then no one would have any place to go that was decent. It's an odd position for a 'spiritual leader'....
The good people, the bad people, everyone - - the Pope want them under the thumb of some dictator... like the crappy places in South and Central American and the ME. Does the Pope really think our fragile culture would survive under the onslaught of millions of M13 gang members?
The Pope resents God too... God tells us he will accept the good people and separate them from the evil ones... Maybe God should be forced to open up Hell to the demons... Is that the Pope's position?
That is why I have no regards for political correctness.
I second what Mr.Putin said .
The communist jesuit pope is an enemy of America and all those that value liberty.
This Pope Francis is an embarrassment.
I am so tired of this effin piece of shite!
That's an incentive from hell. It rewards cultures that mete out thuggery and punishes cultures that work for spiritual awareness.
Jesus was wise enough to understand the evil we fight is within ourselves. And the goodness we encourage is within our spiritual selves. That some paths are better - some worse but the spiritual choice must be made by each of us. Jesus did NOT tell us that Cesare should force charity.
Incentives that encourage evil ARE evil.
It is not altogether fear which causes hatred of migrants. It is their behavior and disrespect for their benefactors.
The pope is a nut case.
