Maria Hinojosa, an NPR host who covers Latino issues for the publicly-funded station, compared officers for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to agents of the Gestapo, Nazi Germanys secret police, in an appearance on MSNBC on Friday.
At first criticizing President Trump for his offensive comments about immigrants in the Oval Office on Thursday, Hinojosa pivoted to immigration enforcement as a whole.
When the president says this, basically, Take them out, that is what the community is saying, This is fearful for us. This is the Gestapo on us,' she told MSNBCs Ali Velshi. The troops on the ground of ICE, theyre ready to swing into action.
Velshi took issue with her comparison of ICE agents to the Gestapo: I understand the fears that people feel. Of course, I want to separate the idea that ICE agents are like Gestapo.
Hinojosa interrupted him, standing by her characterization.

NPR is a leftist sacred cow that is begging to be barbecued.
The left calls anybody doing their job (Ice) or speaking the truth ‘names”....and we know projection is ‘their default setting’..... Democrats always accuse others of the things they commit.
Trump tweets... media snowflakes triggers, squealing like a stuck pig.
There is a lot of truth in that statement there is also a lot of propaganda to make 'you' think you live in a sh*thole so politicians can control you.
“On Thursday, Trump criticized the bipartisan deal in harsh terms.
“The Democrats seem intent on having people and drugs pour into our country from the Southern Border, risking thousands of lives in the process. It is my duty to protect the lives and safety of all Americans,” he tweeted. “We must build a Great Wall ...”
Our president, Donald Trump, finally—no longer Mexico’s.
What’s the name of the rule where the first one to use a Nazi or Hitler reference loses the argument?
Conspicuous by their silence on bHo’s “teabagger” comment (much worse connotation than “sh!thole”)
If that were true this Hinojosa person would have long since been executed.
Trump had to teach the nihilistic right how to put their money where their keyboard bravado was.
If anyone could turn this nation around it is conservatism/pro-American action + a Long Island attitude.
If you think npr is bad, you should hear pacifica’s KPFK and KPFA.
They can say anythiing they please, call names, and encourage violence. Anything our side says is ridiculed and submitted to the mocking of the PC police.
Our side needs to be more brazen. The other day I was on a sports board, when this lib started trashing Trump. I told him to have sex with himself and move to China, adding that we were getting tired of playing nice.
I told my wife I thought I would get tossed, but I didn’t. This is a Civil War friends.
Defund these sick bastards
Yup
I often compare NPR to Pravda.
Good for you!
I lost some shirt-tail relatives and friends defending the president and I have blocked some e-mails ... but I finally got fed up reading the BS, with the TDS sufferer apparently thinking everyone agreed with them or not caring if they did.
And you can’t be tactful. Get in their faces.
Again, good job.
I can’t recall The media outrage when Clinton sent his Scary assault weapon Carrying Gestapo to send little Elian Gonzales back to that great Cuban Shithole.
Another reason to defund NPR, to close its doors and reopen it as a model Health Center for our vets.
How many billions of our tax $’s go to these left wing non profits to enable them to stab us and our president in the back 24/7.
Defund NPR and use the savings to help build the wall.
Spoken like a TRUE A$$HOLE “Arizonan”. I guess we all know WHY YOU A$$HOLE keep inflicting You fellow A$$HOLE$ (Flake, McPain).
Shes a moron.
The Gestapo went after legal citizens!
ICE goes after illegal invaders who hate America and live off our tax $’s.
Deep State Media for Democrapweasels!
“Whats the name of the rule where the first one to use a Nazi or Hitler reference loses the argument?”
