President Trump on Friday said he may begin recording future meetings after he alleged Democrats he met with at the White House on Thursday fabricated derogatory remarks about Haiti.
"Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said 'take them out.' Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!" Trump tweeted Friday morning.

Earlier Friday morning, Trump rejected reports that he told lawmakers that the U.S. should block immigrants from "shithole" countries, but admitted he used "tough" language in that meeting.
"The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used," Trump wrote. "What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made — a big setback for DACA!"
The pushback comes the morning after the Washington Post reported that sources from a bipartisan meeting between Trump and senators recalled the president saying Haiti, El Salvador and some African countries were "shithole countries" and asked why the U.S. should accept immigrants from there.

I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians.
On that I know Trump is correct. I remember he campaigned with them in Florida where the Haitian community despises what the Clintons did to exploit Haiti for their own personal gain.

First rule when you find yourself in a hole - stop digging.
First off, many of those countries are indeed crappy. Brutal but true. Secondly, nationality isn’t the same thing as race. While it’s true that there are more blacks in Africa as a percentage, saying we don’t want to import Sudanese, for example, is not the same thing as saying we don’t want to import blacks.

The mainstream media has advanced so much “fake news” to delegitimatize this president that I am inclined to give Trump the benefit of the doubt as to whether or not he was misquoted or if the quotation was made up.
There is no denying the truth of his general assertion. The USA is not benefited by admitting unskilled persons from Third World countries.

The fact that Haiti is a sh*th*le has nothing to do with the Haitian people. They are every bit as capable of building a first world country as the people of Japan or Israel. Differences are only because of racism and white privilege. I only know what the HR department tells me. All people are exactly the same.
Good idea, record all meetings. We know the mainstream media wasn’t going to give him a break for conducting bipartisan meetings. If you know one side is intent on destroying you, cover all bases and protect yourself from any misunderstandings and outright falsehoods.
