It wasn’t a senate deal. It was a few senators and they couldn’t even get senators Cotton’s and Grassley’s approval

Maybe Trump’s part of the negotiation is telling them what he can accept?

excellent tweets - He did indeed set them up, and now they are looking like the ones that are shutting down the government and are incapable of getting a bill together. I admit I was worried for a while
But at least when the Donald makes us wonder, its only for a day.

It was a Republican Senate that backed Ws amnesty plan and came up with an comprehensive immigration reform bill. Luckily we had heroes in the house at that time and they came out with HR 4437. A brilliant bill that wouldve done everything Trump and the country needed To solve our illegal immigration problems.. But the traitors in the Senate and the White House shot that down. While calling the Minuteman vigilantes.
The senate has had a disconnect from their constituents for a long time. I wouldnt call them representatives, they are self-serving traitors

Funny one. The MSM and Dems go all holy and prudish when the President says an off color word, or two, but those phrases are music to our ears.
To: dandiegirl
It could be. If so, it also smokes out the RINOs and mobilizes the base against them.

I’ve said it before, and it bears repeating: DACA is Caca!

“We’ve got this bipartisan group, we’re at a deal,” Sen. Flake told reporters Thursday. “So we’ll be talking to the White House about that and I hope we can move forward with it. Its the only game in town. There’s no other bill.”
1. If Flake likes something, chances are very high that I don’t. This is no exception.
2. There IS another game in town. It is called, “Hey, you illegals, GTFO!” Flake just doesn’t want to play that game...but most of those who voted for Trump DO.

“...Trump would NEVER sell us out...”
I knew it too - I watched him say I will sign any immigration bill that I get (paraphrased) my immediate thought was that the dems would never agree to anything and this was a safe statement.
I was never worried for a moment that President Trump would sell us out.

No surprise but @TomCottonAR rejected Senate gangs #DACA deal at WH meet: Its not even a fig leaf. Its a pine needle.
Thats a good one.
What Cotton was saying, between the lines, was that “these needle dicks across the aisle tried to shove a deal down our throats to legalize a bunch of Turd Worlders from shithole countries, but we aren’t buying.”

“f the rats want DACA fine but we let the wall, end of chain migration and a merit base immigration system other wise no deal.”
I’d like to have an end to birthright citizenship tacked on to that - not retroactively, as that’d get slapped down by the Supreme Court as an Ex Post Facto law, but going forward from the minute it becomes effective. THAT is what attracts people here (well, that and our welfare benefits), and allows for chain migration.

“Bump! No amnesty!”
Let us hope and pray that this is so. I have NEVER understood why supposed Republicans would back what the Dems have done with immigration since 1965 - it is meant SOLELY to cement their dominance over American politics, and everyone knows it. I guess that the “supposed” part answers the question.
Thanks for all that you do, Jim!

This reminds me of Bush 43 and the attempted renewal of the “Assault Weapons” ban - he said that he’d sign it if it reached his desk...knowing full well that it was more likely that the entire Moslem world would convert to Judaism before such a bill reached his desk. Trump is no different in this one narrow regard - he chose his words carefully, knowing the result.
Where Trump is different (thankfully) is that he actually gives a damn about this country (and not Turd World shitholes) first, and doesn’t give a damn if people like him, or how he expresses himself. I like that a LOT - it shows both his essential decency, and also his honesty.

Yeah for months now she seems to have one track (the wall) and no patience (it should have been built already).

There should be a bill that addresses chain and lottery only.
Separately, there should be another bill that addresses border security, including the wall.

We have the usual GOP basket of despicables pushing the leftwing position. Gang of eight all over again.
