(Update 3:38 p.m.): President Trump reportedly rejected the deal presented to him by Sens. Graham and Durbin. There appears to be no acceptable deal on DACA.

As House Republicans propose an immigration bill conservatives could gladly support, Senate Republicans seem to be moving to the Left on immigration.
A bipartisan immigration deal to grant amnesty to so-called “Dreamers” and take steps toward securing the border has reportedly been reached in the U.S. Senate. The Washington Post reports that a group including Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., are presenting the framework of their DACA plan to the White House Thursday.
“We’ve got this bipartisan group, we’re at a deal,” Sen. Flake told reporters Thursday. “So we’ll be talking to the White House about that and I hope we can move forward with it. It’s the only game in town. There’s no other bill.”

Bless your heart, Tom Cotton, I believe the term you were reaching for, was “olive branch”, NOT “fig leaf”. But I hear ya.
Whatever the Senate comes up with is going to be beneficial to the illegal aliens and their employers.
There are currently only 4 Senators on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
Cotton, Grassley, Paul and Cruz.

I wonder if Trump was really playing Charlie Brown and the football with Flake, Durbin, and Graham. Maybe this was payback for the Senate killing the repeal of Obamacare and McCain giving a thumbs down as he voted to the amusement of the Dems. Did Flake and Graham really think their ridiculous proposal would ever be approved or were they just playing games?

You are exactly right. Those 3 things were implied up front but as usual; people hear only what they want to hear and the dems didn’t want to hear anything but a clean DACA bill which there was no way they were going to get under this President when he clearly stated many times he wanted to help the DACA but only if the security of the border with a wall, an end to chain migration, and the end to the visa lottery were part of it.
Phase two was to be about whatever else the pols wanted to present and agree on. Merit-base immigration, implementation of e-verify, and an end to birthright citizenship would be at the top of my ‘want’ list in that arena.
All of these things are for the benefit of America and its citizens yet the dems are against them. Does anyone really need to know anything more about them to know they stink to high heaven?
