Circuit City in Sacramento was my favorite electronics candy store for years. I was so disappointed when they went bankrupt and closed that store. Fry's is good, but never understood why they didn't build a store closer to downtown.
Well, that's all secondary now, since I moved to Arizona five years ago. Would love to see Circuit City make a comeback, if for no other reason than I can't stand Best Buy, and there is no local Fry's (well, except for groceries).

Bought my first VCR at CC in the early 90’s.
Remember Radio Shack’s Free Battery cards for crappy non-alkaline batteries?

Hard for electronics stores to compete with Amazon.
Actually, other than their own branded Amazon stuff, I've always found much better deals at Walmart or Target, and sometimes Best Buy.
I've completely given up shopping at Amazon.

The company will showcase and sell products out of kiosks before opening up larger showrooms and retail locations.
Set up near the food trucks and see what happens?
Of course, they should have done this three months ago in the malls.

Generally, I avoid businesses with the name “City” somewhere incorporated into it.

I used to buy all my TVs, stereos and appliances at Circuit City. Then they closed up here in Atlanta. Could not compete with Best Buys I guess.

CC had idiots running the company.................
Never cared about the idiots. I only cared about getting what I wanted and at lower prices. Never went to them for service.

Circuit City had the best order on line and store pickup here in Fairfax VA. I could order it and have it home in about an hour. Best Buy sucks here also.

I mean the idiots at the HQ, not the stores.
They blew over a 100 million dollars on a stupid video player in a proprietary format that nobody else used, and the video discs could only be played 4 times then never again....................

Same here, they’re almost across the highway from each other. As a side note, I have 3 Walmarts within 7 miles of me, two of which are within 3 miles. I also have two Home Depots, 1 3 miles east of me and the other about 3 miles west and a Lowes one mile away.
