I heard from The Judy Miller Show (old reference) on FOX News that Reagan apparently was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s, but she did not go so far to say that he was unfit. I give Trump a C grade* at this time, based on his pluses and minuses, but I certainly do NOT see him as unfit for office, either.
*Still better than both Bushes and Clinton (D) or 0bama (F).

If he had had any symptoms of it at all in 1988 then by 1994 there would have been no need for an official diagnoses. He would have been so far gone that a child could have diagnosed it at that point.
