Oysters are great at removing pollution, and although they might be tasty, they concentrate toxins and bacteria.

Glad I read this AFTER a weekend in New Orleans where I had oysters three days in a row.

Acme Oysters in the French Quarter.... best I have ever had. Waiting line at the door from open to close every day.

Raw oysters? Hate them. It’s like eating wads of phlegm.

“LeBlanc’s condition went from bad to worse in the first 48 hours.”

How long did we wait before going to a doctor? Probably blew it off as just another “rash”.

Texas residents Vicki Bergquist and wife Jeanette LeBlanc were visiting family in Louisiana. They went crabbing with friends and family on the coast, picking up a sack of raw oysters in a market in Westwego. It wasn't long after when LeBlanc's health rapidly declined

They should have stuck to just eating clams.
