While I agree with you in spirit, it seems to me that if we reduce the West to only the United States, it isolates us from the rest of the world.
I don’t see surrendering all territory to our enemies, even if not U. S. soil proper, to be a winning strategy.
We are a nation of 327 or so million people. Would it be good to be only 327 million out of 7.6 billion, or is it better to have another body of roughly the same population, to share our views.
We can argue that Europe doesn’t share our views now, but comparing Europe now to the nations in the Middle East reveals the difference, no matter how bad the ship of state in Europe is listing.
Ideally, we need Europe and all of Russia to join us. I think many of the Russian people are receptive to the West, and I think it’s our duty to work at getting more of them to.
When that school at Belsan was overrun by terrorists in Russia, we blew a massive opportunity to solidify our relationship with the Russian people, when our president took a pass on going there to express our sorrow at what had taken place.
We have made very little effort to bring Russian into our camp, and then we get upset with it, when it does what it does.
We have to be smarter in the future.

But just like they couldn’t save us from Obama, we can’t save them from their voting ways.
IT IS better for W Europe to come around.
But Eastern European countries are on our side and there’s a lot of folks there :)
