Was that actually Mika Brzezinski on Morning Joe today, or had someone hacked into the MSNBC feed and inserted a parody bit about elitist, Trump-hating snobs?
Well look into it. In the meantime, heres what Mika ostensibly said this morning:
I had some friends that went to Paris over the holiday, and they said they were just viscerally embarrassed to be Americans. They said it was the first time that it was sort of chilling. That they didnt even want to share where they were from.

The only thing “visceral” is Mika and JoeBlow’s hate for Donald Trump and the Deplorables in Fly Over country...
When my sister was youth hosteling in Europe back in the 60s, she had a number of tales to tell when she returned back to the states after three or four months of being everywhere you can imagine in Europe with a backpack.
She said in France, they were advised to remove the American flags sewn on their backpacks and replace them with Canadian flags. Which she did and said they were treated well...
But that was DeGaul’s France and the shenanigans the French pulled a mere 20 years after World War II when their butts were pulled out of the fire and their country was liberated by the allies. They apparently forgot very quickly the sacrifices that were made for their freedom and were afraid of losing their autonomy once again.
And so it goes...
The really surprising aspect of this story is that Mika actually has friends - unless its more fake news, of course.
Personally, the time I was embarrassed for Americans was when I was in Brazil and saw a ‘big spender’ guy from New York act rudely to a young girl who was trying hard but having trouble getting his transaction to go through. Seemed like the kind of guy who tailgates you on the interstate and flashes his lights..
Do American liberals still pretend to be Canadian when traveling abroad?
By wearing maple leaf flags on their backpacks, saying “eh” a lot, and badmouthing the U.S. without sounding like turncoats, etc.
Is it possible to be “viscerally” embarrassed, or did Mika just learn an new word?
No, if they are that embarrassed, tell them to just slit their own throats. Save all of us their embarrassment.
No, if they are that embarrassed, tell them to just slit their own throats. Save all of us their embarrassment.
I was in Paris in late November, and I found all of the Parisians to be warm , welcoming, and charming, more so than ever before.
Maybe her friends were assH0les like she is.
If they’re truly embarrassed to be Americans, wouldn’t that apply no matter where they are?
Did they have to go all the way to France to self-loathe, or did they think they were engaging in some form of export virtue signaling?
I grew up in England, came here as a teenager decades ago. It’s always fascinated me how some Americans go to Europe, fall in love with the “history and culture” and assume that all the people are as sophisticated, that their opinions are somehow superior.
They’re a bunch of know-it-all snobs. They’re just as ignorant as anyone else. They’re spoon fed how great their governments are and they believe it. They don’t question it.
I couldn’t give 2 cents for their opinion. As for Paris, lol, the French are probably the worst - they think SOOOOOoooo much of themselves. Yes I will stereotype - I’ve seen it way too many times, in comparison to many other European cultures.
Her friends hate America, so how surprising is this?
homeless slimes in france
("O'Bama?" ... well maybe he's Irish? Prove otherwise)
These two pieces of garbage better hope and pray they never come face-to-face with any of the millions of people in this country who are just itching for the opportunity to permanently shut their filthy yaps.
Knowing everything we do about the World, how is there anybody left who still has this silly notion that Americans are in any way inferior to people in any European country?
I am certain that Mika feels quite sophisticated when she spouts such nonsense. But the exact opposite is true. She is displaying her ignorance and provincialism.
My Mom was in France (wife of US military) for 3-4 months during the early 1950s. She said the French despised the Americans. After a month or so of trying to be nice, the American wives responded in kind. In contrast, she enjoyed the 4 years she spent in Germany. And yes, my Dad had flown missions attacking the Germans to help liberate the French less than 10 years earlier...
I was in Italy when Bush won his second term...I was mocked and called a bushista...the majority of Europe is left, I can see that today on Facebook, they all make fun of President Trump, they all circulate the same lies and, of course, this new book has now become their repository of truth.
I’d be embarrassed too if I was identified as a friend of that idiot. Hasn’t uttered a sane word since puberty.
