i don’t care about pot smokers’ safety - it’s everyone else.

and like i said, the separation of federal and state’s powers has already been eliminated in so many cases, what’s one more - especially when it shouldn’t be legal anyway. this isn’t a hill i’ll die on.

you didn’t read my post before responding.

“And one issue just won’t make a difference anymore.”

“But I can see that issues involving public safety and health should Be at the federal level, covering all citizens equally even if they live in an idiot state.”

Of course I read it that’s why the red flags went up. Sounds like you have surrendered the constitution because things are going the wrong way. That’s the time to man up.

Talked with my brother on New Year’s Day.

My brother has been living in CA since the mid 70s, so he could smoke pot and some other drugs but alcohol and pot were his “drugs of choice on a day-to-day basis.

He only worked long enough at any one job so he could get “his unemployment benefits half the year!”

He blew off his wife and two daughters in favor of “living the dream” and burned up much of his future smoking dope.

He found another wife, who would work and support lifestyle for a couple of years, until she realized his sweet smile, funny nature weren’t enough and split.

Of course, he was always the “victim” and everyone else in his life were just “raining on his parade.”

He returned home for our mother’s funeral and camped with me for a few days until I realized he saw us as another hammock to support his lazy lifestyle and moved him out and ultimately sent him back to CA, as he still resented the Midwest cold winters.

After decades, he hit bottom and wandered into an AA meeting. He ultimately cleaned up his life at his mid to late 50s!

While he still thinks lots of his problems weren’t his own fault, he’s finally drug free, thanks be to God, so I asked him in our New Year’s Day conversation, what he thinks of recreational pot now legal in CA.

He said the idea is awful and ruinous, ruined half of his life but admits it has been a fact long before.

He admits he hates driving his car around because at least half of the other drivers are already impaired.

I don’t favor legalized pot, but frankly this is an electoral loser for us.

Really, Jeff, THIS is what you’ve been spending your time on??????

Really. This is where Sessions devotes his energy. Someone could steal the Washington monument and all he would talk about is Marijuana.

It was never in the bottle, the illegal growers just went legit.

Cali just legalized it to tax it for recreational use. Sessions will use DEA to shut them down.

Just what was rescinded by a memo, only to be reinstated by a memo?

Does this sound even slightly constitutional to begin with?

The federal law should either be repealed, enforced or declared unconstitutional by a court.

At this stage, simple federal taxation would be my preference.

No, apparently Sessions has never read the Constitution and doesn’t believe in the Tenth Amendment or freedom.

my personal views about the demon weed

You have the right to your view. I have the right to mine. Neither makes nazi tactics against the other just.

As far as claiming a demon made it, you should read Genesis again.

I don’t know why he has to worry about pot when my neighbor’s leaves keep blowing into my yard. Why can’t he fix that?

Yes, many dreamers will now be classified as criminals. Adios!

That was one of the reasons it was criminalized in the first place!

"blocks the Justice Department from using federal money to prevent states...'medical marijuana'"

California has authorized recreational marijuana.

There may be little difference except CA doctors don't get $125 a sale.

“Demon weed” is a sarcastic reference. Of course demons didn’t, and don’t, make marijuana.

Where are they going to find a jury that will convict for pot crimes?
Certainly not here in California.

“....what makes the marijuana portions of the Controlled Substances Act constitutional?”

I believe a 1943 Supreme Court agricultural product decision. Some guy was claiming his family was eating more of his farm’s products than was likely.

I take back the times in 2016 I called Sessions a “stud duck”.
He’s a dud putz. No crime prosecution, just rousting potheads.
Take him back Alabammy.
