NEIL CAVUTO, "YOUR WORLD" HOST: You know, this whole day seems to have been like this internal war back and forth, the Bannonites, the Trumpites, whether it's the establishment, which is hard to say, because neither of those guys are establishment going against the renegade groups.
[snip]
CAVUTO: It wasn't just a tweet. It was a very clear, delineated statement.
What is going on?
GINGRICH: Well, look, I think, Neil, first of all, Bannon has an exaggerated sense of self-importance, and the news media, of course, builds it up, because it's exactly, in the age of the Kardashians, the kind of nonsense that they love to fill time and space with.
So, they can run around and think about that, as opposed to the largest tax cut in history, or the most deregulation in history, or the best economic growth in more than 10 years.
CAVUTO: But didn't Bannon feed this beat, Newt, by saying this outlandish stuff?
GINGRICH: Well, look, I think that Bannon thinks he's extraordinarily important.

Despite your obvious expertise upon the matter Newt, you might want to keep your mouth shut for once.
Yep, just ask him, he'll tell you.
He helped Trump get elected.
Excuse me? Gingrich criticizing Bannon for his outrageous attacks on President Trump and his family are what you find to be out of line, but not the comments and actions by Bannon?
They’d be smart to get him out of there. And distance themselves
And has shot his mouth off more times than I can count, deflating momentum on things subsequent to that.
I have no use for him.
He can give one of the most brilliant presentations on the Constitution I’ve ever heard, turn right around a walk outside to issue a statement that conflicts with it.
In some ways he is brilliant. In other ways he just has no ability to avoid screwing our cause.
Lots of clueless Bannon lovers here evidently. What Bannon did was an atrocity. Who in their right mind could ever trust a back-stabber like Bannon proved to be?
The problem with Newt is that he refuses to go away.
I think his 1994 implementation of a plan to win the House was masterful. Under his leadership the House actually sent forward balanced budgets for at least one and perhaps two years. Then the wheels fell of and he was replaced.
Since then he has deemed himself to be the sage of all things government. If he was such a sage, why was he removed from the Speakership?
He’s always got the answers to everyone else’s situation, but he didn’t seem to have his own answers then.
He’s not always an insider now. When he isn’t, he simply cannot keep his big yap shut. He doesn’t know what the game plan is, and he still goes out and says stuff that hurts our cause.
Our people get the momentum going, and he waltzes in to let the air out of the balloon, all in the interest of letting us know how smart he is.
I’ve seen this happen four or five times with him.
Why is he even out there talking about Bannon right now, acting as if he has any inside information?
This isn’t about Bannon and Trump. It’s about Newt getting his face on the tube.
Bannon is bad for America. He’s bad for conservatives. He undermined President Trump. Bannon puts himself above all else.
Bannon looks like Rosie O’Donnell’s twin. I am done listening to this clown.
“Bannon = Judas. Bannon committed political suicide and likely killed Breitbart.com as well. What a fool.”
This isn’t about Bannon and Trump. It is about Bannon and Trump’s son. It’s a welcome distraction for Trump who is about to defund the PLO and blow apart the sanctuary state bullcrap.
“It will disappear.”
Yes, but the MSM will be gloating tomorrow.
My fave comment of the night, on this, was from Ed Rollins, on Lou Dobbs show....
Bannon set a fire on the White House lawn and President Trump rolled over him with a steam roller and then rolled back over him. This is the end of Bannon.
Newt was much more diplomatic, but Rollins line was more entertaining.
Not arguing with the premise of your post, however, Newt hasnt undermined President Trump.
Give him time.
He’ll vindicate me.
The crow calls the raven black.
Irony alert!
I will never click on a brietbart link again...
I think you’re out of line. Gingrich was one of the most consequential politicians in our lifetime. I don’t know why you would choose to minimize him.
CAVUTO: You think Republicans are going to pick up Senate seats?
GINGRICH: Absolutely. They will pick up to four to six Senate seats.
CAVUTO: And hang onto the House?
GINGRICH: They will keep the House, plus or minus 10.
BOOM!
I’m right and a bit more optimistic than Gingrich...
Mic drop...
That’s okay Hildy. I know a lot of folks think the same way as you do.
Sorry, I’ve seen the guy blow it too many times.
I’m not saying he intends to screw us, but his interviews scare me to death.
You can do a lot of harm, while supporting someone.
The Leftist’s have a premise. While defending us on one issue, folks sometimes concede a premise along the way. It’s a mistake, but it helps the other side on another issue they’ve been trying to push.
Newt really doesn’t get it.
I don’t have a problem with people opposing me on this. Either you’ve noticed it or you haven’t. I have.
