Get rid of these traitorous POS . . . they’re on the take, that’s the ONLY reason they’d act like this

Wow! A President who tells the people to resist those who love France! Anything more despicable? But why be surprised as both of the American parties essentially feel the same way?

What kind of people elect a _president_ whom does not believe in their own nation?

Sounds like the _president_ is merely a govenor of a province in a larger (global) government; cause the position does not seem to be that of a legislative representative in that larger (global) government.

Scary how insane people have become.

Proof that electing someone for his good looks and slender body doesn’t work!

If this empty headed obviously mentally ill Oedipus complex-ridden boy toy is an example of European leadership, Europe is already lost. I simply don’t understand suicide—avidly GIVING away your country, your beliefs, your lifestyle, etc. to bearded subhuman savages. If this is liberalism, then it is a suicide state of mind.

He's a strange boy. A lot of what he says could be classed as very "nationalistic" -- wrapping himself in the flag. Imitating JFK: «Demandez-vous chaque matin ce que vous pouvez faire pour le pays.» Ask every morning what you can do for the country.

And he goes even further:

... dites-vous toujours que vous appartenez à un collectif plus fort, plus grand que vous : la Nation française. C'est ce collectif qui vous a éduqué, qui vous soigne, qui quand vous tombez, vous aide à vous relever, qui vous aidera dans vos vieux jours et dites-vous à chaque instant que vous avez quelque chose à faire pour la Nation.

Wonder what Ayn Rand would have made of that.

Yet he's attacking some bad nationalism that goes against his own plans.

That may be typical of older, richer nations. "Nationalism" is always something the newer and poorer countries have and should shed over time.

But politicians in Old Europe aren't unwilling to make nationalistic appeals if it will advance their careers, especially if the rhetoric is only window dressing.
