In a blistering statement issued by the White House, Trump said Bannon has "lost his mind."
"When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind," Trump said in a statement. "Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books."
"Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was," the president continued.

Where is the link to the Presidents actual statement?? (I cant find one anywhere)
.
.
EXACTLY. WHERE IS THIS STATEMENT.
But the Never Trumpers or Rino lovers jumped all over this story even though the man writing this book is a tabloidish writer who has a history of BS.
Just another attempt to distract from the criminal bastard Clintons, and the FBI Russian dossier business.
Yikes, my head hurts. (This is to bookmark this for later reading when I can get back to it)
Trump never should’ve trusted that greasy, lying POS Bannon. He is no help to any cause related to conservatism.
Bannon doesnt have a twitter account. More fake.
Same old FR members showing up in these types of thread attacking Bannon and Trump. So transparent.
GO find me an effing statement from POTUS that is quoted in this article.
GO research the man writing this book.
At least the number of Bannon Worshipers on FR will go down as a result of this.
Bannon wa history the day after the election. It was obvious he had no place in the administration and Trump doesn’t respect him. Whether these quotes are true or not.
They all are.
Trump believes it. He believes Wolff or Bannon.
Do you actually believe Bannon could win? I doubt he could win the primary for a minor party. He's a beta and a French socialist. I'd use his other insult, but I object to that word.
Then why does Trump believe it?
Where is Trump’s denial that he said this? Don’t tell me he’s too shy.
I haven't seen any disavowals from Bannon, so it may just be some over-the-top score settling. OTOH, there's nothing new here, except the left's new found love for the former "Nazi" Bannon.
No, Bannon could never win a Presidential race but I believe he has the bug.
Trump is turning out to be more of a conventional Republican (at least for now) than PaleoCons and AltRightists like Bannon and Buchanan expected. It’s evidently killing Bannon.
Bannon committed Political Suicide today, Bannon is no more.
Look it up. The White House released a statement.
Full text of todays official WH statement on Bannon has been published by all the news organizations now, including Breitbart and Fox. Says Sarah Huckabee Sanders handed out the statement before a press conference today.

Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party.
Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isnt as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans. Steve doesnt represent my base hes only in it for himself.
Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.
We have many great Republican members of Congress and candidates who are very supportive of the Make America Great Again agenda. Like me, they love the United States of America and are helping to finally take our country back and build it up, rather than simply seeking to burn it all down.
I like Bannon. But Bannon of all people ought to realize who he’s picking a fight with. Although I will admit, heck of a way to promote a new book.
Oh, yeah, Trump is nothing more than a “conventional republican”. Eye roll!
