I’ve only been eating at McDonalds for the last 58 years or so, but I do like their food.
It’s so entertaining to watch people swarm to a Free Republic thread to trash a prime example of the Free Enterprise System at work.
I guess some folks only believe in Capitalism unless they don’t.

Great French Fries or Greatest French Fries?

Indeed, I will say:
I enjoy McDonald’s a LOT more in foreign countries than here...where we can take the whole “free enterprise” thing for granted...In Russia, it was my saving grace sometimes to step into one.
Check out how long the line was when the first one opened in Moscow in 1990 just as the USSR was collapsing:

The good news is there will be a fast food price war.
Those here who don’t like McDonalds will get better deals
at the other fast food restaurants they like...
Thanks to McDonalds leading the way.

Well you have me beat. We didnt have McDonalds. Our 10 cent burger joints were Smaks and another called Griffs.
Im 61 now and still hit mcDonalds a few times a month, hard to deny my 9 yr old.

My first real job was at the 2nd McDonald’s in Maine. For lunch I was allowed 2 hamburgers, a small fry and a soda. (I think that the burgers were 13 cents then.) On rare occasions when I go to McD’s I still get the 2 burgers and fries, but usually with coffee.

My only problem with Micky D's is that they were
National Fools League
sponsors.
If they've stopped that, I'll go in for my morning coffee.

I find it more than amusing that those who have no concept of what actually occurs in a fast food restaurant or the slightest clue of how the raw product is prepared for the restaurants are the first experts to jump in.

Yep - reminds me of way back when I was still drinking....about 6 of us sitting at a bar in the mid-afternoon and one mentioned he had a shopping list he had to get to, and it had "bread" on it. He stated he gave up white bread years ago and before long, I was the only one in the place that would ever touch white bread as they all hopped on the sad train - was a couple months later that I got sober and the last 30 years has been good to me.
I don't eat at Mickey D's much but get the occasional hankering for a Big Mac and fries....
