The Basij militiaman, a paramilitary storm trooper of Irans Revolutionary Guard, was reportedly swinging an electric shock baton when the crowd of angry protesters closed in around him.
"They got a Basij, hold him! one man shouted as the demonstrators pulled away the militiamans baton and knocked him to the ground in the largely Kurdish city of Kermanshah.
But rather than beat the man to death, the crowd struck a different kind of blow against Irans authoritarian regime: they stripped him of his trousers and sent him stumbling and humiliated into the cold night.
The protesters wanted to show that they are peaceful but that they are not weak and they are not afraid, said Raman Ghavami, an Iranian analyst who has been tracking the protest.
In Kermanshah and in cities and towns across Iran, emboldened and defiant protesters continued the largest demonstrations since 2009 even as security forces stepped up the violence to try to suppress them.

Ha HA, now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are.
The Kurdish version of counting coup. Well done!
They “Pantsed” him!? Hope he had a sense of humor. I don’t think so.
Somebody gets demerits.
Next tactic: short sheet them.
I hope he had clean briefs on.
Valerie Jarrett does not approve.
Are liberals, Marxists, commies here going to condemn the Govt of Iran, or are they going to stay silent, and where is the UN on this? mmmmmmmmm
No government, no matter how despotic, can survive if the people quit going to work. Sitting down in the streets instead of doing their jobs, as the East Germans did, will bring a government to its knees.
If they shoot all their workers, they are permanently screwed. So governments would be advised to take care of their people before their people see no advantage to continuing their miserable existence.
“I hope he had clean briefs on.”......
He MAY have had clean ones on before the crowd got to him but more than likely NOT AFTER they stole his pants. Can you imagine the humiliation he suffered when the other guards found him?
LOL
The problem is that he will return and kill his tormentors
When its for all the marbles, best take all the marbles
or the words that his Mother said.
The protesters wanted to show that they are peaceful but that they are not weak
They showed weakness here and it will be interpreted as such. If you’re not willing to go all the way keep your damn hands to yourself.
I wonder if we could air drop some pink pu$$y hats for the protestors to deploy....especially if they can get their mitts on any mullahs.
Pants on the ground. :-)
When Iranians no longer fear the Basij, all bets are off.
The protesters have also have someone helping them, there is return fire documented on video. Probably soldiers who have defected and/or the GCC.
There have been calls for nationwide labor strikes tomorrow.
We’ll see if they do.
