Police in a Colorado city just outside of Denver said "multiple deputies" are down after being shot while responding to a disturbance call early Sunday.
The Douglas County Sheriffs Office said in a tweet that citizens in Highlands Ranch should shelter in place and avoid windows.

“Colorado must be lawless.”
not really. homicides are actually pretty rare outside of Denver/Aurora. And even within those areas, not so much after the uprooted California gangs arriving here were crushed 25 years ago by concerted police work, tough judges, and life-time sentencing without the possibility of parole.
road deaths are another story, though.
“I expect its a bad neighborhood”
Highland Park is very upscale.
“I expect its a bad neighborhood”
that’s supposed to be “Highlands Ranch is very upscale”
Thanks for posting the picture. Breaks my heart.
Having spent so many years in Los Angeles, I’m quite used to these types of escorts for a fallen officer (or fireman) from the scene or hospital to the county morgue. People on the same shift will generally be most of the motorcade with additional units to actually handle traffic and escort duties while they mourn. It was not a spontaneous thing, and is extremely common (especially for graduates from LAPD’s academy which represents about 18% of all law enforcement in the US.)
Decades ago, prosecutors pulled up an old post on a BBS that they had connected to someone who was being railroaded for defending their family from a man with a crowbar who broke in in the middle of the night. How they'd shoot first then call 911 and spend the time in between making sure they got their story right.
I try to avoid posting anything I'd not want to be brought up during prosecution.
“domestic violence incident. Your speculation as to mooslims and BLM is wrong. Knock it off. “
Actually, being a domestic violence incident doesn’t exclude muzzies and racists, it actually focuses on such people.
“Why are they holding a Motorcade to the fallen deputy the very same day?”
It’s just an organic happening as his body is taken from the hospital to the coroner’s office about 20 miles south.
This is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing.
Nonetheless, keeping an eye on it.
There's been a LOT of "connect the dots" activities lately: including what look like a number of New Year's Eve plots *foiled* rather than Clinton biting his lip or Obama smiling at all the dead infidels after the fact.
“How many cops get shot every day in the US?”
1 every 8 days. (45 total this year)
“I have a friend who was a Douglas County cop. Highlands Ranch has by far the most crime in the county.
“
Not a hard thing to accomplish since it comprises about 35% of the total county population and is the largest population by region.
Seems low for all the emphasis given to it, statistically speaking (e.g. compare to rate of fatal car wrecks, or even shooting deaths by gang bangers in Chicago).
It is low for the emphasis given. It is well known that trashmen suffer greater losses every year.
Of course, what we cannot determine is the number of times a cop’s process or procedure helped keep them from being attacked. They do enter violent situations fairly often.
All the cops I know have had violent situations often enough that I know they have kept themselves safe where the 45 number would otherwise be much, much higher.
I live in Douglas county, and it seems we lose about 1 a year. We also have a State Patrol office here and they, too, lose about another 1 per year, usually to traffic related deaths.
The Californians ruined the state..I left in 2000....
To many people moved in..There should be a law you can only move to a state if someone dies..you get in line like immigration..
Moved to a small town in Florida and it is being over run now..wait til Trump taxes take effect..in NY and NJ
______
neither.... just kidding.
I thought marijuana should be legalized back in the early 70's.
Happy New Year
I was watching one the other night. Was most or all of his stuff in Colorado? I kept thinking some of it was Los Angeles.
______________
No, they all take place in Colorado Springs.
O.K. Yeah it was only during 1 or 2 shows I watched the other night (3-4 nights ago) I noticed it was Colorado. I had only let the show roll at night and wasn’t paying close attention.
Thank you for confirming that.
I’m with you and Delta 21.
