People are realizing AIDS isn’t as fashionable as it once was for some reason.

Do the members of this advisory council draw salary and benefits? If so, that is 16 fewer non-essential personnel drawing money from the public coffers.

They serve at the President’s pleasure, or lack thereof.

Why was this even a thing anymore? Reagan may have started this council, but there are now ways to manage the disease, and the Surgeon General should be able to handle this as well as any other public health issues at this point.

Trump is a lightweight, compared with Reagan.
Reagan fired 30,000 vital Air Traffic Controllers at once, for striking.

But it was fine and dandy when Obama fired all of Bush’s advisory council..in fact it was never even reported..so again..the fake news media strikes again

That Trump is just getting around to this, tells you where it is on his priority list. This band of faggots were probably tapping the treasury for their “show up job,” so Trump gave the taxpayers yet another small Christmas present.

Reagan fired 30,000 vital Air Traffic Controllers at once, for striking. Speaking of that, one of the very best actions this administration could ever take would be to outlaw government unions. The long-range benefits of that would be absolutely amazing!

Yeah, but they probably didn't want gays to die like Trump does. Just ask most of the "glbt" crowd and they'll tell you. 👹. Happy new year.

It was actually 11,359.
I have no idea why I thought it was 30,000, unless that was the total number of ATCs at that time. Only PATCO was affected.

Why is there a “council” like that in the first place?

following the resignation of six members in June 2017 in protest at Trump's health policies. New applicants are expected to apply before the council reconvenes in January 2018. So half of the council quit in June, and no one reported it?
Even if these dudes are not paid, you can bet that their expenses are completely covered whenever they "need" to come to DC or NYC.

I think the council was useful at one point to create public policy to minimize the spread of AIDs, but I think there is enough information now to do that without it.
It’s outlived its usefulness.

Nonetheless, HIV and AIDS activists criticized the Trump administration."
