He declared war on the United States and ran for present in 1844, his so called “prophesies” were heresy and never came about and finally in June of 1844 one month after he had declared himself greater than the LORD Jesus Christ, he shot dead 2 of his own men and his own people shot him dead in an exchange of gunfire..he was in jail at the time...around his neck was his usual talisman good luck charm...a Jupiter stone with symbols meant to give him control over women and other men...
He printed his own money, stole from his own Mormons, started his own bank and was fined $1,000 for bank fraud, said he wanted to be greater than Mohammad who he idolized, and stole other men’s wives and young daughters ...and murdered Christians who tried to expose him...
Like Mohammad, Joey Smith was a pedophile...He was lazy and didn’t work and he and his family were fortune tellers and cheats...He was convicted and given a prison sentence at age 20 but the judge let him off because of his “youth”

the main song the Mormons sing in their religious exercises is “praise to the man who communed with god” meaning not the Christian LORD Jesus Christ but Joey himself...the mormons worship Joey Smith and not Jesus Christ...at Christmas the babe in the cradle is Joey Smith and not the LORD Jesus Christ...
Until the moment Joey Smith got himself killed in that gunfight, there is no record he ever repented and was saved...

No kid that Smith died in 1918 ...it was Grant who was still married to at least 3 wives long after 1890...they were all suppose to give up the extra “wives” (read concubines)but they never did...
You can number Smith amongst the other later polygamous leaders that I generically mentioned though...there were a few further so called declarations a few years later...
BTW even today Mormon leaders are so called “sealed” to women they fancy so that they can be “married” sex and all in the mormon after life...no limit on the 72+ virgins etc...Brigham Young said they could have 1,000 “wives” in the mormon afterlife if they wanted them...
and then theres the calling out of the graves of the current wives ...if the Mormon husband does not want his Earthly wife to go to the Mormon after life with him he just doesn’t call her out of her grave by the special name that only he knows...she receives that new name at the mormon “temple” ...so she stays in the grave and he goes on to forever after bliss with his new wives and makes lots of babies in his own planet where he rules as a god...
and kid at age 19 I learned more about Mormonism from my Methodist employer who warned me never to join them than most of those Mormon boys who bother people at their Christian doors are ever taught...and she had been taught by mormons wanting her and her very rich husband to give the mormons 10% of their wealth...it took her weeks to get them to leave her alone and not come back...I got to read all the books and pamphlets printed in Salt Lake City...

There used to be a “Praise to the Man” video on YouTube - lots pics drifting past statues of Joseph Smith. Yes, the song sounds nice; until you come to the point of realizing that praising a man instead of God (Who Alone - Trinity - is/are worthy of praise) is ridiculous.
I watched the video just to take in the absurdity of it. Having read on FR that Mormonism thinks what Eve did was a good thing, I was stunned to see 4 Mormon “scholar” repeating this heresy on their official show one day. About the only complete (30 minute) show I could handle - except one on “The Joseph Smith Papers” which was repeated - I should have recorded it. It’s the “I can do nothing for you” episode.

Except what is the definition of Christianity? The number one caveat, is that you believe in the Deity of Christ. Mormons that I’ve known are wonderful people, but they are NOT Christians. And they don’t believe in the resurrection of Jesus.
