the leaders of a country with $20 TRILLION in debt should not start suggesting prison for those that run up a debt they cannot pay
This guy is a total prick.
They have debtors prisons now — for unemployed and legally unsophisticated guys who are behind on child support payments that have a disguised alimony component.
What about prison for TRAITORS such as Hillary, Obama, Jarrett, Comey, Jeh Johnson, Wasserman-Schultz, Huma, Holder, Power, Mills, Clapper, Lynch, Rice, Brennan, Rosenstein, Stzork, McCain, McCabe, etc?
Have they no prison? Are there no workhouses - Ebenezer Scrooge
They do it where I live. They throw you in jail if you can’t pay your court fees, your traffic tickets or child support.
I wonder if anybody is going to read the article, or just make a comment to show off their Sessions Derangement Syndrome.
If you can’t pay, you should face the consequences. Credit rating downgrade is simply not enough, because the taxpayers end up footing their bills. Time to have more severe punishment.
There are no prisons for the privileged class.
The article is a hit piece on Sessions. All he wants to do is institute a fair system where a fine is a fine that needs to be paid... just because you’re poor, it does not mean you are free to ignore the law.
I hope Trump fires him and Rosenstein. Washington is not drained/cleaned up.
Sessions doesn't care about them. That's considered making money, dirty or not. Like so many Senators he may be in on the cut.

If you equate not supporting debtor prisons with “Sessions Derangement Syndrome”, I think you’ll find that most of the country has had a case of it for at least 100 years or so.
Thats the only reason I opened it. SDS is real and I love seeing the nutbags on it.
Sessions was one of my top 5, maybe top 3 Senators until not that long ago. His attempt at being the part time Attorney General, and admitted lack of support to get a Republican into his former seat, have both been unmitigated disasters.
If Sessions Derangement Syndrome is such is thing, it’s afflicting those that are still supporting him despite these obvious failures.

...
There’s one who didn’t read the article.
I once sarcastically suggested indentured servitude for members of Congress in payment of the national debt...
I am curious, who are you comparing him to?
“Theres one who didnt read the article.”

Actually, since you have some bizarre notion the article supports debtors prisons and praises Sessions for backing them, it would seem that you are the illiterate one in this thread.
But there is help for those suffering from a total lack of reading comprehension; I’ll give a direct quote from the article, as kind of a “Cliff Notes” helper. I hope it’s not too difficult for you:
“There is no place in this country for a justice system that lets rich people buy their freedom while poor people are locked up”
But good luck with that reading comprehension issue. Cheers!
