Rep. Rodney Davis said Friday that he plans to introduce a bill to make the tax changes for individuals permanent.

With the raise in the standard deduction, and the lowering of the tax rates across the board, there is absolutely no reason to have SALT deductability.
Are these rates going to be tattoos or chips?
Do the legislators allow for individuals to control their income and accounting records?

no - getting rid of SALT is a good thing. I’d also prefer elimination of all deductions. Stop having the government “approve” things - have a standard deduction and cut tax rates across the board. Stop subsidizing stupid things (higher home prices, higher local/state taxes, etc).
The corporate rates are permanent.
Exactly - less than 10% of the country will be itemizing with the new bill and it would be barely more even with full SALT restoration. It just benefits the wealthy in very liberal states.
