President Donald Trump fired the remaining members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) Wednesday, reportedly informing them without explanation with a letter delivered by FedEx.
The mass dismissal of the advisers marked another nadir in the administrations dealing with the council. In June, six members resigned from PACHA writing in an open letter, published in Newsweek, saying the Trump White House was pushing for legislation that would harm people living with HIV.
Scott A. Schoettes, a Chicago-based HIV/AIDS activist and one of the members of the advisory panel who resigned over the summer, tweeted yesterday that the remaining council members had been fired for calling President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence dangerous.
Remaining #HIV/AIDS council members booted by @realDonaldTrump. No respect for their service, Schoettes wrote on the social media site. Dangerous that #Trump and Co. (Pence esp.) are eliminating few remaining people willing to push back against harmful policies, like abstinence-only sex ed, he added.

Fire by Twitter.
Because the HIV/AIDS Council was actually PROMOTING homosexual behavior.
While doing nothing for actual cure or prevention which is primarily BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION!!!!!!
i.e. “Don’t stick things where they don’t belong”.....(needles, body parts....)
Bet they knew exactly why they were shown the door.
It might have been delayed, or gotten lost!
LOL!
Most of the people getting AIDS are homosexuals and IV drug users. So far as i'm concerned, this section of the population is expendable.
Don't want AIDS? Don't do that stupid/perverted stuff.
They won't heed it, but they need it.
Winning. Tired of it I am not.
I have different email addresses set up for different uses so when I go in to them I can mark anything not specifically for the purpose of the address as Spam. It helps keep them clean. I also have an email address specifically for spam that I never go to. Ever been forced to sign up for a site in order to see one specific thing? That's the email address I use for junk like that.
Anyway, I have a Yahoo address that I use for Amazon.es. I ordered some external antennae for my 4G router and went there to print out the delivery notice. When I signed out I ended up at Yahoo News, a site I never go to unless I end up there by signing out of this email. They were whining big time about the Trump firings and their source was Newsweek. I went back to the source and posted the article because I enjoyed the taste of their tears.
If you look back at my history you will see I post a lot of articles from a lot of different sources. Newsweek normally isn't one of them but this was too good to pass up.
there, fixed it.
Taxpayer funding to enable those who refuse to follow these simple rules isn't going to change anything except add to the federal deficit. You'd be better off buying booze for an alcoholic. Only a change in behavior will change the situation.
And, yeah, I know there are innocent victims who get abused. Help them as they won't be the ones on an ObaMao Council.
A classic example of the old saw "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."
The problem I see with this headline is it is plausible, but the source is wretched. However, many might actually believe it without noticing the source or not knowing the Lying leftist nature of Newsweek. Couldn’t you have found a true version of this story from a reasonably reliable source or you as the source of the truth about this?
Too many of the wrong people have power in this nation.
FedEx, when you absolutely, positively have to Fire someone.
Betcha the People who were fired blame President Reagan for the AIDS Epidemic.
An old Liberal Gal I used to know told me it was all Reagan’s fault. I said, you can’t be serious. She was adamant in her belief. You just cannot reason with these people.
There is an end to AIDS. When every willful vector dies.
I just play along with such idiots and tell them that Reagan created AIDS in his garage in his spare time.
I think the readers of FR can discern nonsense from reality, better to see what is being said than not.
