US proposed Abu Dis as future Palestinian capital, says former Hamas chief

Hamas’s former chief in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, said during a meeting in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday that the movement had received information of a US plan to offer Palestinian leaders a state with its capital in Abu Dis, a Palestinian village near East Jerusalem... connected to the Al-Aqsa compound in East Jerusalem with a bridge. The plan also proposed dividing the West Bank into three sections and creating an autonomous region in the Gaza Strip. Abu Dis, a small rural community overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem to the southwest and the Jordan Valley to the east, had been suggested by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the future Palestinian capital, as reported in the New York Times on 3 December... Commenting on Trump's move, Haniyeh said: "The recent US decision on Jerusalem is part of ongoing efforts to terminate the Palestinian cause within the context of a so-called 'deal of the century.'" The move "has implications for the reconfiguration of the entire region and the [Arab and Muslim] nation… which will come at the expense of Jerusalem and Palestinian rights," added Haniyeh... The suggestion that the Palestinian capital could instead be Abu Dis contradicts the Oslo Accords of 1993 that foresaw East Jerusalem as the eventual capital of a future state... After Oslo, the PA started the construction of a headquarter for the Palestinian Legislative Council in Abu Dis because of its proximity to Jerusalem, but the planned parliament project was halted by the second intifada and the separation wall.

ask an Christian from Syria, even Egypt, Iraq, or Lebanon or the areas under Hamas or PLO/PA occupation... and they will tell you as clearly as a bell rings...
that they are endangered... and afraid for their lives...
there are only 3 ways to help the larger number of Christian suffering under Muslim domination and control...
1. eliminate that control including Hamas, Hezballah, PLO/PA.....send all the Muslim murder gangsters and their enablers, supporters to Muslim Hell...asap....(we need to do this anyway, for the sake of humanity and of course for any possible eventual peace)
2. restore Christian government to Lebanon,....
3. take them into USA, Canada, etc.

Actually in my experience “Palestinians” come from all over the Arab world. It is very rare to meet a third generation Palestinian. 80% or more are first generation.” I am a Saudi Palestinian, I am a Yemeni Palestinian...

But then, I am an Alaskan Republican.

Palestinian is a political party, NOT a people or a place. There is and has never been a Palestinian culture, any more than the local campground for homeless folks is a culture or a people.

Palestinians have always been the criminal element of the Arab states. When you are going to get your hands chopped off at home, go to Palestine and join the resistance.

It is a lot like the immigration system in America, all criminals welcome, and no prosecution for crimes you have committed in your past. No wonder a third of our jail system is illegal immigrants now. Its not like they start a new life here, they are just running from their old life.

I wholeheartedly agree — they’ve had their bluff called, and that is to say, we know you don’t negotiate at all, much less in good faith, so here’s the max you can get. Turn it down, get nothing instead.

Ooops, yeah, and in addition, the proposed capital is in Fatah territory, rather than Hamas territory.
