Donald Trump tests eight 30ft high walls for border with Mexico

They stand like surreal monuments in the California scrubland: prototypes of Donald Trump's proposed "big, beautiful" border wall between the US and Mexico.

The eight 30ft high slabs are the first tangible part of the controversial project that the US President says will help solve America's immigration problems.

I think he will check it out in a week or so. I liked the one that was thick on the bottom but had about a 5 foot tilt to a thin top. Its the third one from the left.

The wall is dependant on a promise that the President seemingly can not keep. He promised over and over that Mexico would pay for the wall.

So far, not a Mexican dime has been offered nor collected.

If he collects some Mexican money he can build some wall.

That is what Customs and Border Protection wants in the Urban areas - a double barrier with an "enforcement zone" in between that is lighted at night, and wired with sensors and cameras.

Walls aren’t rocket science they’ve been building them since the dawn of time. I’m with him, enough of prototype this and prototype that. The SR 71 from conception to first flight was under 2 years.

Then build Wall #1 for 100 miles, Wall #2 for the next 100 miles, etc. That way we’re only replacing small portions when something fails.
