They stand like surreal monuments in the California scrubland: prototypes of Donald Trump's proposed "big, beautiful" border wall between the US and Mexico.
The eight 30ft high slabs are the first tangible part of the controversial project that the US President says will help solve America's immigration problems.

If they come over in swarms like this; would we have the balls (authority) to shoot them?
That crosssection on the one on the right would make a convenient foothold.
A rope ladder could get over any of them, need some nice barbed wire or something on the top, and spikes on the ground on the American side.
I thought they were already coming over in swarms like that. At least they were under zero.
I say put out a call for VOLUNTEERS for construction & supporting jobs.
Provide food—a place to park their RV’s, and vet them for their skills.
Will need people to feed workers & do their laundry, also.
I would bet that there would be MORE VOLUNTEERS than you could imagine. The WALL can be built in less than 18 months, IMO.
Be certain and absolutely sure that the entire wall is fully paid for and under way before there is any daca deal.”””
NO DACA deal until WALL is COMPLETE.
One of the biggest solutions to this whole mess, is strict enforcement of the E-verify system that Bush and Obambi let go slack. As much as I hate bureaucracies, more funding and more personnel in ICE dedicated to doing unannounced spot checks on company records would be a huge deterrent for employees not to hire illegals. However, the penalties should be large enough to hurt the employers if they knowingly hired illegal aliens. But how do employers know if the employee has submitted legal docs or not?
As an employer of 3 small companies back in the 90's, I remember having to submit a Form I-9 for every employee I hired. It was fairly effective back then, but since there has grown a cottage industry for false docs and utility bills to show legal residency, not to mention states like California that give drivers licenses to illegals. Again, how do employers know?
The whole system needs an overhaul. My solution: The Fegov issues NEW un-forgeable Green Cards and/or temporary Work Permits that are verified by the State Department AND forgeries can easily be spotted by employers from State instructions. Eliminate Drivers License, SSN's, Utility bills, and any other bogus docs they use. THEY MUST HAVE A NEW GREEN CARD or WORK PERMIT FOR EMPLOYMENT IN THE USA.
If E-verify worked, the illegals would self-deport simply due to lack of hiring opportunities. NO, you stupid liberals, we don't need them to pick our lettuce. Have you idiots never heard of mechanized farming? And no, we don't need them to cut out lawns, nor clean our homes, nor change the sheets in resorts. All the aforementioned was done my legal immigrants and earlier by Americans. Think 1950's.
Geez, when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, I bought my first Schwinn 15-speed bicycle and my first surfboard by cutting grass and paper routes. When it came time to leave my crap of a home at 16, I worked in a widget factory, car wash, assistant to a construction guy. etc. I originally slept in cars and then garages, but through my hard work I got my own apartment and built from there.
I'm so sick of these coddled SnowFlakes thinking they are entitled to all. Sometimes, I'm more sick of their stupid parents paying for inane studies that so many colleges now use to indoctrinate. I could go...but end rant.
