Bigots often say things that are not PC. The antidote for PC claptrap is not confirming PC by embracing racist books and ideas. Racism is, after all, antithetical to Christ’s teachings.
I would tend to agree with you, except that the cries of anti-Semitism precede the tactless twitter war. Noticing that the attacks are coming from one quadrant isn’t an indication that Paul is a racist. It does seem that’s the narrative being built. Like I said earlier, I know the man.

I don’t see the racism. I’ve read communist and fascist books. I’m neither... This is the line of attack that has been chosen. He can either defend, surrender, or counterattack. We’ll see where it ends.

There are people who view any disagreement with a Jew or a Jewish position as being anti-Semitic. This is nonsense. I've read excerpts on Amazon of the book, "The Culture of Critique." I did not read anything anti-Semitic in the book. However in all fairness, I only read limited portions of the book. From what I read, the author gives a balanced and insightful view and facts about Jewish impact on western cultures including our own.
Frankly, I'm tired of blacks calling everyone who disagrees with them 'racists' and I'm tired of Jews calling everyone who disagrees with them 'anti-Semites'.
All cultures and peoples have virtues and faults. Jews are no exception.
For real. I’ve heaped all kinds of scorn on the current Pope, I’m not remotely anti-catholic. More importantly, not a single person ever accused me of being so. Why? Because some people value open discussion, and others just can’t wait to value signal.
I agree that person is not a racist because he’s read a racist book. You can read Das Capital and not be a communist. Some people read the Bible and are not Christians, too. Bannon and Briatbart seem to have seen the same tweets as quoted above and decided he is a racist or another candidate too damaged to save. How do you explain his going on a radio show as is described by another poster above?

I see one in the mirror all the time. He does exactly what I do. I’m starting to get suspicious. It’s like he knows when I’m going to shave and mocks me. Not only an I suspicious, it’s starting to make me mad. I yelled at him and he yelled back. He had to be mocking me because his mouth was moving but I couldn’t hear him.

I can’t explain it. I’d rather let Paul do that. I do know that the twittiots took a QUOTE he tweeted from Linda Sarsour, a real anti-semite, and tried to twist it into anti-Semitism on Paul’s part, fueling attacks from the left. I also know that a lie repeated loudly and often enough will drown out any truth.
