I'm not PETA or against hunting for food. I'm an NRA card holder and supporter.
However, I find the annual Shoot to be an archaic royal tradition with formalized trappings surrounding it.....along with it including a particular lust by the aristocrats for shooting some little fox which is chased, outnumbered, harried, cornered, exhausted, shivering......and then slaughtered in cold blood as the triumph and trophy of the day for the spoiled, uncaring royalty and their elite clique.
Unfair, unsavory, unbecoming, unnecessary tradition....and whether Meghan and Harry are for or against "The Shoot" is quite unimportant to me in viewing the larger picture.

Hi. Merry Christmas.
I don’t do animal trophies. What I kill I eat.

Ditto!
Nothing to do with a fox.
Pretty much sums it up for me as well.
It has always seemed like an unnecessary killing of a small defenseless little animal.
It’s certainly not the biggest sin in the world, but I can’t imagine God smiling down on these events.
There’s so much more productive things to be doing.
As for Prince Harry, isn’t Megan more or less playing a different game of Fox n Hounds. Poor little Harry. LOL
Yes, I know this isn’t a fox hunt. But ask any British poultry farmer what he thinks about foxes & what they do to chickens. Then ask his opinion on fox hunts.
“A fox in the henhouse” has grim meaning over there.
And I have watched many vids of tame foxes interacting with humans & they are touching to see.
