A topless activist tried to snatch the baby Jesus from the Nativity scene in St. Peters Square in Rome on Monday.
The Christmas shenanigan unfolded as the activist, with the radical womens group Femen, jumped over the railing around the scene and lunged for the statue of Jesus before she was foiled by a Vatican gendarme.
The woman screamed, God is woman! and had the same slogan painted on her back.
The drama took place a mere two hours before Pope Francis delivered his Christmas tidings to some 50,000 people in the square.
The woman was identified on Femens Web site as Alisa Vinogradova

What certain portion of Mankind was supposed to be suffering? I couldn't tell from the picture.
We've never been there for Christmas but we were there for Easter and it was wonderful. Sorry to hear that SJW's have taken over.
I wonder if there’s a limit to leftist insanity. Is there a boundary somewhere? Some kind of theoretical asymptote they can approach but never quite reach? I’m sure we haven’t seen it yet, but I just wonder about its existence.
The only boundary to LIB lunacy is their death.
I didnt realize that Femen was founded in the Ukraine. Theyve been a problem in Spain, and have attacked various university chapels and religious events. I believe a member of the Barcelona city government was part of it and there were charges against her that were dropped. (BTW, people here who think the Catalan separatist movement is something good - its not - its very left wing, anti-capitalist, anti-Christian, pure statist, and pro-EU).
And of course this is without talking about Carmena in Madrid, the 74 year old Communist mayor who is a complete sympathizer with and enabler of Femen...
You really enjoy nourishing and fertilizing other nut jobs, don't you.
[The woman screamed, God is woman!]
Ah, O.K.
“The celebration of our Lord and Saviors birth should be a time of Joy to the world not an opportunity for the social justice crowd to use Christmas for a cheap, in your face statement about the sufferings of a certain portion of mankind. “
Read Luke someday. Jesus teaches you why mercy is necessary and pleases the Father.
That naked man is supposed to be a representation of the Bible verse that says I was naked and you fed me. Does that really look like somebody who is naked because he is dying of poverty? Hell no! He looks like someone that ass is personal fitness trainer as well as $100 haircut. It’s just the vatican’s way to sneak something vulgar into their display. You can imagine them smirking and chuckling among themselves saying but it’s in the Bible!
Hey, welcome back. You aren't going to unceremoniously ban me again, are you?
She looks like a hottie. Nice figure.
But isn’t that discriminatory or something?
It’s almost like they’ve accepted the preferences of the objectifying male gaze.
...not that I’m complaining...
Cheers, Shark! Im in France at the moment and I saw a lovely Nativity at the Cathedral of Notre Dame and then I saw a completely freaky, ugly one at the Church of the Madeleine, which was obviously done to reflect the ugly Francis program.
But what was strange was that less than 150 years earlier, this was a church that had lost its beloved pastor to the Comunards (a vicious radical leftist takeover of Paris that most Americans dont even know about) in the 1870s, along with the Archbishop of Paris. This Archbishop was actually the third Archbishop of Paris to be executed by leftists in the 19th century. And nobody knows about it or acknowledges it, least of all our petty Pope.
But as you say, the bad stuff is not really what matters. Merry Christmas!
Good point. The irony is that these Femen chicks don’t realize they’re harassing their own tribe. Leftist morons all around.
Is that Ben Franklin on the lower right?
There are some women for whom taking off their tops is quite the threat.
Thanks for that picture, and enjoy Rome. Last visit we were there for 9 days and didn’t see everything we wanted to see.
It guarantees that LOTS of pics get taken and spread across the Internet. That's also why they paint their slogans on their bodies.
Re Ben Franklin: Funny, that is exactly what I thought.
Yes, it’s creepy.
Never thought I’d think of a nativity as being creepy, but there it is.
Sad times.
Definitely creepy.
I wonder if calling in a napalm strike on that display would be too extreme?
