I won't repeat all the fine comments of the above fine freepers. But I will say this.

I am sick of foreigners coming to my country and telling me what America is, what we stand for, and "who we are."

I didn't like it when the foreigner Obama did it, when the space alien Hillary Clinton did it, and I especially don't like it when this fresh off the boat Camaroonian with his affirmative action daughters who took the place of Americans who's ancestors set up the institution of higher learning in the first place, does it.

We tell foreigners what America is all about. Melt into our pot, you foreign devils and shut your ungrateful yaps.

Trump went to Ivy League too, so these immigrants are nothing special.

Affirmative action at work, quota system keeping up the pace. They will be able to learn how to be good Dem voters; be able to churn out porn videos; stay on top of the latest trends in erasing American history via their SJW credentials; know the most correct terms to use when speaking about everything and anything; they will achieve a flawless understanding of Global Climate Change and be ready to shout down any and all naysayers.

Other than those sterling qualifications to become social and HR workers, their skills at reading English, history, math will be sorely lacking, but not to despair, be made up by agitating for more free stuff, and of course for open boarders and easy immigration for whole families ...

Caution: do not be too hard on them, lest they retreat into their safe spaces with warm milk and petting puppies - items all payed for by us tax payers. We can’t have their whinny faces splashed all over the media again!

And they also received admissions preferential treatment because of ethnicity and race.

No big deal.

Hey, everyone can do it! Right?

Would make a fine tag line. You really have a way with words, bagster.

Merry Christmas, FRiend.

Well, thank you very much, goodman. That is a nice Christmas compliment. You have cheered me up on this blue Christmas.

A very merry Christmas to you and those you love.

>>In a year in which our nativist president would have you believe that immigrants are, at best, a job-stealing drain

Because no one who goes to an Ivy League school does so with the intention of getting a job in America, right? They move to India or elsewhere and reap low wages (but a lower cost of living as an IBM VP boasted when laying off US workers, encouraging them to relocate to India and where they might be rehired for their skills).

In the 1960s and 1970s they called it “brain drain” where those who came to America to study to become doctors and such stayed in America rather than return home to work are doctors (at much lower wages, possibly under socialized medicine).

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/brain%20drain

Definition of brain drain
the departure of educated or professional people from one country, economic sector, or field for another usually for better pay or living conditions

First Known Use: 1960

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1275994/

Abstract
Brain drain is defined as the migration of health personnel in search of the better standard of living and quality of life, higher salaries, access to advanced technology and more stable political conditions in different places worldwide. This migration of health professionals for better opportunities, both within countries and across international borders, is of growing concern worldwide because of its impact on health systems in developing countries. Why do talented people leave their countries and go abroad? What are the consequences of such migrations especially on the educational sector? What policies can be adopted to stem such movements from developing countries to developed countries?

This article seeks to raise questions, identify key issues and provide solutions which would enable immigrant health professionals to share their knowledge, skills and innovative capacities and thereby enhancing the economic development of their countries...

Cameroon? Would have had a better chance if they indicated Kenya and applied for an international student’s scholarship at Occidental. That’s what I call working the system like a former Oval Office occupant.

We don’t know if their admission was due to affirmative action or to merit. I think the best way to tell is to look at their majors. If they major in STEM subjects, then they probably got admitted due to merit. If they major in women’s studies, art history, or lesbian poetry, then they were probably admitted based on affirmative action.

Same with obama. No way a “B” high school student white kid without an Islamic name would have gotten into an Ivy League school.

Now maybe those girls can go back to their homeland and try to make them more civilized and developed.

Yep - the legals seem to have a drive and work ethic that breeds usefulness to society - that must mean the illegal invaders who commit so many crimes are just "misunderstood'....

Gosh - enough bad thoughts in there that i'm not sure it it's even appropriate to follow up with:

Merry Christmas - He is born!!!

The article inadvertently draws back a curtain on something about affirmative action in academia.

Immigrants are taking slots from American-born blacks.

Universities track (and get tracked by) not only the racial composition of their admissions, but also of their graduates.

When earnest hard working Christian Blacks from stable nuclear families get off a boat from Africa or the Caribbean, they are a much better bet to tough it out and graduate, than kids from broken homes with deeply ingrained destructive cultural values.

University admissions folks know this well, and can pad their stats while still posing as SJWs, looking out for poor American Blacks.

As long as the Black Community stays aggrieved and views the Democrats as the ones getting them special treatment, the Democrat Party couldn’t care less what actually happens to American-born Blacks. It actually serves their purposes better if those American-born Blacks remain in relative poverty and ignorance, on the Democrat political plantation.

This Affirmative Action employee of the New York Times is actually making Trump’s point about immigration. This family came to the U.S, legally and have earning their citizenship legally.
